Ok , apologies for starting "irongate" ... Truth is, I love ironing :) but , I really can't be bothered at the moment - too much else to worry about!
But iron away the rest of you , ha ha !!
Stupid Internet wasn't working last night so I couldn't spend my evening on here - I swear I had withdrawal symptoms !!
But, will def try grocery challenge - have been meaning to have a look at that so will do it tonight. Also need to sort out eBay at weekend before Hovel Lady checks up on me .... :)

  • I don't iron much either except for when I really can't let my children walk out of the house looking like they are homeless - which for my DS is more often than not these days!!:rotfl:

Have to say the whole getting organised with debt/money thing is giving me itchy feet about other areas too....could do with losing a few poundage (peachy bottom looking a bit too peachy!! Haha!!) and for some bizarre reason have the really bad urge to deep clean the whole house??!!

Can't do this until the kids are back at school mind so off to have another cuppa!!

Love it Mrs PP..deep cleaning..yes I get that urge sometimes too but then I make a cup of tea and it soon passes...and then the urges get less and less..:rotfl:

I like ironing too..and agree it does make it does make clothes sell better.

All this talk of EBay means that I will just have to send the kids up to see whats in the loft. Aha..a job for this afternoon I think. I may bribe (sorry tell!) them that they can have 10% of takings if they help.....you know it may just work, DD1 is desperate to go shopping with a friend tomorrow. I have agreed she can have jeans (its all accounted for in the spreadsheet and hers are very holey!) but anything else will have to come out of her account. Seems fair to me!

    :jMorning All :)
All this talk of cleaning, ironing and eBaying ....... you are all far too busy today !! I am sat at work............
A little good news, I had to renew my Car Insurance today - I took the plunge and paid it in one go - this does mean that I have about 0.58p to last for 2 weeks BUT, no monthly premium !!!!:T
So, thats a little bit closer to my Sec Loan deficit ...... still a wee bit more to find but am getting there. Back to checking balance every morning and using my spending App so at least I know exactly what I have (nt) got. Kids still on for staying at Dads this weekend so should be a cheap one hopefully.
Also, one of my main kitchen appliances has been playing up for a long time and finally, has given up (will definately have to sell my new phone now :( ) But, mentioned to Ex and he offered to pay half of it - which I wasnt expecting. I dont really want to take anything off him but, beggars cant be choosers so I may take him up on it ..... once we get to the end of the month of course.
So, not too bad a week really.
Hope you all have an enjoyable day oh, and Brizzle, I totally agree with bribery where children are concerned !!

Maybe that's part of the knock-on effect on sorting out your financial life - it makes you want to sort out the rest of your life. I feel exactly the same :D

My mum used to dread us not going to see my dad on a Sunday, because she knew she didn't have enough food in to feed us that extra day! But if we went to my dad's and gran's we would have a huge Sunday lunch and then corned beef sandwiches for tea (every week - I hate corned beef :o) and we would be fed at no cost to the household budget. No wonder she would be soooo annoyed if my dad called it off at the last minute!

I'm an ironer too :o don't enjoy it but would hate things more if I didn't do it IYSWIM?? It's not so bad if there's something decent on the TV - you hardly notice you're doing it :)

Well done on all your progress Coco - I have yet to pay for any insurance in one hit

Well here's to all the ironers in the world :)
Getting board of cooking everything on hob now but , hopefully can get new cooker end of the month !
Quite a good day moneywise - after a big of juggling around and cutting back , I think I might be left with a small (& I mean small!) amount to pay towards unsecured - not as much as I want but even a little bit is a start. This makes me feel a lot better.
Right off out for a couple of drinks now. Catch you all later.
