The Ghost was amazing, - we did table tipping that was estatic, ouaji boards, and got some messages through that, dousing rods - even brave and did a loan vigil in a bathroom in a haunted room...

I would be there tomorrow if I had the chance, once in a lifetime experience.

Got home 4,30am.... lie in - then went for lunch with my friend, her husband, (bless him he was dumped in a local hotel room last ngt!!) and DD... Bless her heart as my friend and I had gone halves on lunch, DD offered to give me her debit card as it had £10 on it and she wanted to pay towards dinner... how the heck I never burst into tears I do not know... there was a small tear, couldn't take the money off it, but how many 11 year olds would offer to do that...

She has such a heart of gold and I am so lucky, she has her cheeky moments, but I'm so lucky.

Found a childhood recipie earlier - choc flake ice-cream - where you use evaportaed milk - so going to have a go at this in the week. xxx

Letter from school - weekend trip to an adventure centre - only £185.......

But they get their meals included....

    So another target to find...

Thou confession I treated myself today to an Ipod, been debating for about 18mths that I wanted one, and had some vouchers on Amazon they've been there for a while - so it hasn't cost me a penny.... can't wait, feel really guilty for spending that much on myself
    But
We brought DD one last yr for her birthday
There was nothing else needed (thou could easily waste it...)
I do want a food processor... £80 (still have £63 towards it
Not as thou could say can I cash the vouchers..

Hopefully guilt trip will be over by tonight xx

It may be worth you finding out what this "adventure centre" is all about (doesn't sound particularly educational to me) and your daughter gets to see quite enough of the world with you. :) A weekend of messing about with her mates can be done much more cheaply at home, under your supervision.

I have to admit I do not have an iPod, nor do I want one. Mrs. K. has an iPhone which she loves and stores lots of music on that she hardly listens to. Absolutely nothing wrong with a treat now and then though, especially when it's not really cost you a penny. How do you get all these Amazon vouchers?

"Brought" is the past participle of "to bring". Thus, "bought" is the past participle of "to buy". Sorry, but it's a pet hate of mine. :o

The centre is a council run centre so they get chance to do rock climbing, outdoor activites, team building etc, (stuff that I can't do) its used by a lot of the local schools, but a positive mum has offered to pay half so thats not to bad, we're get there.

I got the Ipod, I've done some discussion forums and let it build up.

Good news DD has had her mole taken off this afternoon, bless her heart she was in an absolute panic, broke my heart, I felt like the wicked witch, but the mole had changed so it had to be done, but once she'd had the injection she was ok, she even asked to see the mole, she has 2 stitches on her neck, that reminds me need to let the school know... off to do that next, then bed..

I updated my budget online tonight and updating the money owed I have managed to knock 5 months off my debt free date....... (things can change so taking it 1 month at at a time).

Giving DD £10 on Friday - as shes having her stitches out, mum gave her £10 for having it done..

2 birthdays this week - gd news the presents were brought in sales, have cards from my stock - all sorted.

DD -sorted out her summer wear, - (saved from last yr) some fits - a few don't but at least give me chance to get the replacement buts in bits and dabs...... should I set myself a challenge to see how far £5 CSA payment goes........ i've had 2 sets of payments - as history stands - thats good going - not holding my breath... xx

A quick trip into town certainly was an expensive one!!

£16 for photos for Visa for holiday (for me and Miss Hoodie) (came out of different budget)

£50 for new printer - the other was playing up, it was either spend £35 on new ink and take a chance - but figured mse would be new printer. (thats on an iou - but mum going half as I do printing for them)

£1 shop.. (£17) but £5 of that was the bras for Miss Hoodie bless her there the only ones she likes for school, - but have to say the sizes are small, 2 balls of black wool ready to knit shawl for xmas, - £10 on odds and sods - but 1st time in £1shop since end of Dec, so v pleased. - Thats come out of my Feb budget. - over half way through month and not quite half way spend xx

Bless her Miss Hoodie took me to KFC, - (she wanted to spend her compo money from the bank on both of us). Bless her she has a heart of gold. xxx

£16.00 for photos (passport size, I presume) sounds rather expensive. Last set we had done cost £9.00 for all of us. Although, the printer sounds like good value for money, I bought one about a year ago and would rather not state how much it cost. :o

Over half way through the money and less than half your budget spent - sounds like you're doing well!

The photos they have to be 5cm x 5cm for the visa - hence £8 each for 3 photos... got to fill in application form 2mor, will need a bottle of wine on ice.

Hopefuly get throu Feb with some spare from budget, still got half bills to pay but that be done next week. Sounds daft but keeping the spending diary has really made a difference xx

mum2one: I hope it's a bottle of white. ;) I remember being awfully shocked to see someone serve red chilled once upon a time. Mind, I've never tried it.

Glad the spending diary is working for you.
