Spending gone astray this month, but I have booked Sun breaks and brought some Xmas prezzies - that balance itself out over the next few months.

But looking at finances I should break even and have £1 spare...

DD - I've started rounding up debit payments to the £1, and since 1st Jan shes got £5.22 - nice little start to her own bank account,

On the creative note I have started knitting a lacy shawl - so that become a Xmas prezzie. xx

Ah - sods law money - the root of all problems. Estimated needed £55 for a bill - but had to pay £85 - a small error but with jan being 5 week month a pain... so hoping that petrol stretch a little bit further.

Positive side - the money diary is now up and running so I feel a bit more organised in things.

Planning on taking DD to cinema on Sat - thou we've got £8 left on a gift card so if theres a movie on movie for junior fab that be £3 for the 2 of us, if not £8 to find.

Done well sold a couple of bits that been lying around, 3 cameras, photo frame, brought in £28 pleased with that.

Returned a gift to Boots as aftershave was missing 4got to hand debit card over - (£4.60) got that on a gift card - but need to top phone up at end of month - go off that its not wasted.

Returned a fleece nightdress to asda - yet its 8 to 10 days for the refund to be credited to my card - -- makes me laugh as you can switch banks in 7 days yet a refund takes that long... Pain as our store doesn't have a changing room, so tend to order sale items that I know will fit DD.

    To Do Plans

Would say find a rich man, but I haven't got the energy even if I had one!!! xx

We didn't get the the cinema DD didn't fancy anything, so was MSE and went Thursday for a cheapie deal - 2 adults, 2 small drinks and popcorn - £10 - film been out a while but missed it on 1st run, so pleased with that.

Finished shawl and then started knitting a 2nd one - all helping on the Xmas list...

Money diary going well - looking at money end the month with 27p... but at least not an overdraft.

As Jans challenge - the money diary going well time to think about tackling Febs personal challenge, this one is a bit of tlc for myself - tone, cleanse and mositurise,- got some stuff on Boots deals - so use that.

Gut DD's bedroom - check her summer clothes - as i brought some last yr, see what fits and doesn't

Sort out the airing cupboard - its only 1 room...

This month when statements come in - update balances in diary (when I checked Noodle there was some ad hoc entries) so if I go by statements see if it can knock a month off my DFD xx

I am so pleased to see the end of January, never mind 31days it felt like an eternity, - my bank has a balance of 30p... at least no overdraft charges...

On the plus side DD has new account - which is my round up/round down account and has £7.87 so shes done ok.

Touch wood Feb will be a bit better - budgets are roughly set, - just want to double check to tie up with outgoing dates - if we can get throu Feb and March be ok.

All presents are brought for Feb and Mar and have a wack of cards put by ready.

Hoping for a less stressful month as my IBS been a ngtmare, - thou on good side couldn't go spending as needed to be in the house....

Now got DD with high temp, sore throat....

Good news letter from the consultant the blood test shows shes not allergic to latex , so whether we're back to square 1 dont know...

Set myself a personal budget £150... thou dont want to spend it all, but got Sunday dinner out with friends, (going ghost hunting with) were go to the 2 4 1 pub (cheaper!!) and got half term - a couple of trips out so rather have the money put aside in theory then I wont get any shocks.

Spent £10 tonight - bits on Ebay - Thats mostly for xmas and I brought a pom pom maker... lot better than the old cardboard days - pay for them tomorrow..

Thats a good idea for paying the cc as I find I don't think about it, ad its a bonus - but help for spending money for DD... xx
