Unfortunatly the furneral has driven a wedge between the family, feel for my dad, as he has had the dirty done on him, cut a long story short, before anything happened he said we're away xx dates, - they book the furneral for the dates when we are away, (only weekend break) despite the date only being pencilled in - they made all arrangements around it and he has had various members of the family having a right go at him.

Moneywise - just seems to have come to a standstill, one more bill due this month, still trying to sort out the ceiling saga...... now the windows broke in bathroom, (getting fixed - got to await parts) so that be a week, (hopefully), so everything up in the air. The only good news the insurers have accpeted the incident and will pay builder....

Hoping for good weekend, Mothers Day Sunday, been very organised, all preents have been sourced from our Xmas sales, then my bday on Monday, another yr older, still haven't worked out whether its another yr wiser!!

Be nice to be home, bit sentimental, as was in Tunisia for last yrs bday, we did get pampered and spolit rotten... xx

Another month has bite the dust......

Mix of positives, good getting somewhere, negatives - try to learn a lesson and move forward and try a different angle.

Spent a lovely weekend with DD, the dog and parents, - spent quality time as a family, left the laptop at home.

Mothers Day - had a lovely day out at a farm, DD got to botttle feed a lamb, hold a 3 week old chick, just brilliant.

DD spolit me on mother day, I had some posh toilettries (75% off Boots sale - grandad paid!!), but she brought me lovely 3 piece set for car, spoilt me in her own way.

Yesterday was another yr old, - doubt another yr wiser!! bless her heart, more posh toiletties (ditto Boots), and bless her heart she saved her pocket money and put £5 in a card for me........

We haven't heard anything from the family, Dad didn't go to furneral.

Hoping that we will hear soon about getting repairs sorted.

    ---
Plans for this week and next-
Dentist - hoping to get away with filling
Gut bedroom - Aiming 30 minute burst - so far gutted 1 1/2 wardrobes
Tidyed all toilettries - (wont confess to the amount that I have - wont need any this side Xmas).
    Check birthday cards
Finish knitting shawl - Xmas prezzie.

    xx

    Time for an update,...

Took some time with DD over Easter, but not everything went to plan as she ended up poorly and nearly in hospital, she picked up a mystery virus.

The kitchen/bathroom saga - were just going round in circles, still nowhere nearer to getting a date for the work to be done, so rang the actual insurers rather than dealing with the builders, so hopefully this should be positive.

the dentist - I managed to get away with just a filling and dont need to go back for 6 months, - for me that is a massive achievment.

As for dad, his niece rang and apologised for the upset that was caused over the furneral, so really pleased that the link is reconnected.

Done well with DDs school trip, just £5 to find, really pleased, as my parents helped me out and paid over half bless them.

Money - well as always - its in one hand out the other, and hopefully some gets left in the middle, - so plan is to sort out May's money, and budgeted.

Had problems with our TV subscription - they forget to cancel the package - not a happy bunny, but got a refund and they gave me a credit as well for the inconvience. (Glad for online banking - can keep on top of everything).

Even finished getting presents for the teachers for when DD leaves school, - thats all sorted. xx

Has anyone got a brick wall........ we still have the lovely water feature in the kitchen, it seems to be everytime I phone I get a different excuse, so bit the bullet and rang the house ins company - soon got things moving...

The general opinion is the wetroom floor will magically fix itself when they plaster the ceiling in the kitchen... now its been included on the to do list. Apparently get a phone call next week to arrange a date...

Which means then have to stay in a hotel while its all fixed...

    ---
On a money saving note just brought my mothers birthday present, a dress of eBAy, (ex Evans) would have been £60+ in store, was £14 inc postage, - had the ebay voucher for £5 off, so even cheaper, looks gorgeous.... Although i have a feeling it be in her wardrobe gathering dust.

DD's school trip now been payed, apparently we're the 1st to have it paid, there was me panicking. I was lucky as parents paid half for it. xx

A little update did really well with Aprils money, even having the May bank hol weekend away and spends all came out of Aprils money... lasted really well. found some fab bargians at a market, Simply Be(plus size clothing) trs for £5 and £8, jacket for £10 - if i had got them from a plus size catalogue they'd be a lot more.

DD - had a brilliant afternoon at a fair, even got grandad into the Roller coaster - was half expecting to hi come off toothless.

now had to start mays money so far £80 gone out, wack more over next week, all bills fallen in the one week, but at least there be done for the month. 7

Just trying to get things sorted with my daughter, she caused a bit of a panic at hospital check up (she's had shes mild allergy attacks), but the last one was quite serious, so we had to admitted wed for testing i really felt sorry for the nurse they did 16 skin tests and my daughters not allergic tio any of them, in one is good, another, we're back at square one. She's now been given an epi-pen, - she seemed confident with the trial one, - but different between trial and actual,

    --
As for the ceiling saga, another trademans out today to have a look at flooring, - who proceeded to tell us he was coming back Mon and we were off to a hotel... panic... rang the ins company - they knew nought, but slowly the boxes are being ticked in terms of workman, (got to have plumber - unplumb bathroom, replumb in, contractor to fit flooring), kitchen - plaster board, plastering and a wack of decorating... so when is anyones guess...

    --Me--
Still waiting for rich man, winning lottery numbers, and a magic diet, xx

My bank balance reducing quickly as bills are coming out, but every penny thats debts, is a penny towards the end result!

Dentist again today, (not really stalking him), broke tooth at weekend, so temp filling and then go back net month for a filling, keep me out of trouble.

DD ha just done her Sats - so fingers crossed, brought her a DVD - then she tells me I've already got it.... but she said she'll have 1 upstairs, 1 down (bless her heart).
