What a week and its not over yet...

My poor dentist -bless his heart - my toothache - was a raving infection in the tooth and had to have the tooth out, 3 jabs and it still hurt...

DD - bless her - I had a major panic she was in agony with toothache - it was her wobbly tooth, which pleased to say has just come out tonight.. (where is the tooth fairy!!)

As for my mum and the docs - had to leave that to dad - my poor gums dont heal very easily, so I was drooling blood for most of the evening...

PTA - worked out better than expected - I ended up cashing up - which was nice as got my hands into a job rather than sit there.

Finally we have now got all builders on board for the kitchen and bathroom, - we've got to move out, all sorted - just waiting for dates to be confirmed.

Financially - this has been a tight month, but had a weekend away, paid all debts, and will not go into overdraft, so win win.

    New debit card came...

    xxx

At last we have the builders here.... so hopefully by Friday will all be finished, - finished May will a few quid left, thou this month haven't really got chance to sort money out so guess will be balancing the budget after the weekend - have no internet for a week.... feel so lost already...

At least be cheap break, - accomodation paid by Insurers, theyve also given us £120 towards additional food expenses - but help as got to drive 60 miles in a day getting DD to school and back, - sounds dat although we could have stayed in travelodge etc - its the having to go out in day time, with a caravan the times your own, xxx

The builders - shall we say thinks did not go to plan, we were expecting to be home by the friday - yes it was a Friday - but a week later.... and theyve still got to come to finish off the work, so not a happy bunny,

As for money - June was all over the place and really could have done with another £100 in the month, had to borrow from parents and give them back in July... bit annoyed with myself, but guess that how the cookie crumbles....

DD got her 1st day coming up at secondary school, we've had the list of uniform, not happy bunny as a lot of the items have to be school logo, I can understand sweatshirt, but pe kit.... so trying to save on the other items, some examples -
    football boots
    shin pads
    mouthguard
    indoor and outdoor trainers

worked out just getting the basics is about £300.

Rant over... nearly a new month so hopefully can get my head back to the money saving/budgeting, I think to be honest the downfall was really being away for 2 weeks (builders in) as had no internet so couldnt check banking, etc xx

Its the 1st of the month...
So far - had mothers birthday - presents pre-brought, but extra expense I brought a garden swing, but making it mse as dads birthday this month so making it a joint present.

Money... as always I could do with some stretching, as got to start getting DDs school uniform, made worse by the fact that a lot of it has to have the school logo on it.... so trying to save on non-personal stuff!

Bills - All on track for the basics to come and go on time... be easier Aug as its a 5 week month for one of my payments so that be allocated to getting the car serviced and Mot'd... then I have to put some up every month from Sept...

Presents - Have all my birthday presents sorted till Dec, bar DD, and Xmas presents I have 80% of the presents sorted, - just leaves mum, dad and DD,,, that balance out Sept/Dec.

I'm very proud as the renewal came through for breakdown cover (share it with dad), and the AA wanted £350... one phonecall saying too expensive... they came back with £228 am a very happy bunny.

    xx

Woops my money saving ways have taken a slight nose dive, needed to get a new mattress, coz of my back injuries need a good mattress, but that ended up as a new bed, but it was reduced from nearly £800 to under £300, bank of mum has sorted that for me, bless her heart... but the last one lasted me 9 years and cost me £500 then, so if this lasts as long be happy x

i managed to save another £5 from my phone ins by mse code.

Have started the clean up the bedroom... it took 2 1/2hrs to sort out toilettries, (whoops), I do not need shower gel, bubble bath (dont have a bath???), body lotion for about the next 3 yrs... the only normal level is deordrant and toothpaste!!

Tomorrow - sort the clothes pile, (theyve been dumped on the chair, been hetic since March.

Nearly major panic - had phone call from the company brought bed off would I like an earlier delievery - tomorrow.... no I've planned my tidy up by the day!!

Can't believe DD only got 2 weeks left at Primary school, where has the time gone..

Money wise, I've started the great challenge of paying the bills... feels like a never ending roller coaster, - once I get one debt finished - feel more positive, hoping that be by Xmas. x

day 2 of bedroom degutting - only doing 1 area at time - today was wardrobe and the floor....
    that leaves
    built in wardrobe,
    bedside cabnet
    draws in bed
    2 x bookcases

So plan to get that all done next week.

-Next expenditure is National Trust membership, - family membership, - around £95ish.. but had £20 gift voucher from birthday, saved £65 from when we were staying in caravan when builders in (we had £40 daily food allowance), and dad said he'd pay the remainder - win win all round.

This weekend - plan is list wardrobe, bedside unit, and coffee table on local sellers page

Photo and measure/describe some clothes of mine for eBay... hope to get 20 items listed..

    xx
