Hi enchanted, sounds as though your realy focussed and organised.
One of my goals this year is as to try and live a simplier life, hpe this will make things easier and less stressful.0 -
Hiya PWPS :-). Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and New Year?
We were actually pretty quiet this year, which in all honesty was just what I needed X
Today has seen me make two loan payments and for the first time I have actually tallied how much has come off the totals..... It's £320! More than I would have expected. Just goes to show how much notice I have been taking :-)
I have also dug out of the depths of beyond our policies and I have noted in a diary renewal dates so I can have a scout around for new policies nearer the time.
I have also wrote in the diary MOT dates, tax renewal dates and other one off expense dates...... I can no longer excuse myself for forgetting.
The biggie of today though is the fact that I have registered to sell on eBay. I have only listed 2 small items to begin with until I get the hang of it all and have spent most of the day checking up on them...... Its actually quite addictive.
I would have liked to have declared today as a NSD, but Munchkin's hair needed cutting ....... Badly and he needed some MORE new school shoes..... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh well. 1/15 is a start I guess :-)
Not long now before I return to the Emerald City, I have been sending texts to the Scarecrow and generally having a giggle about what we are planning for the kids next term........ A Mad Hatters Tea Party is in the mix....... Can you tell I'm excited?!?! Lots of fun to be had :-)
Take Care everyone,

Hummmmm, another spend day to report!
£12 in ILand. And £42 in Mr T. Hopefully this should last the week.
I was awake at 5 am planning my weekly meals, so it had better last :-)
Whilst in Mr T I bumped into 3 school Mum's and they all told me how ill I was looking. In a way, I had to laugh..... I literally, flung my jeans on, jumper and ran a comb through my hair and ran out of my door this morning.
Normally, I would curl my hair, put on a bit of make-up and put on a wiggle-dress and heels....... Seriously, I must have looked a sight..... But Hey Ho...... We are all allowed a day off or two, right?
Paid my B/Card today £290. I'm going to wait until Tues and see what interest is deducted and see what my remaining balance is then.
The first Item on EBay fetched £19.65. Pretty good, Im thinking..... As I wasnt expecting that much for it. Now, I'm looking for anything that isn't nailed down to add :-)
Hope everyone else had a great debt busting day?

Oh Dear,
It's been kind of a mixed bag of a day. First..... Confessions......
For Christmas, Munchkin received a Hobbit Strategy Game from Father Christmas ;-) £75 from Games Worksh*p. He loves playing stragegic games on the computer, so I thought this might be good for him........ Well, too good, maybe ;-)
As part of the bought package he was invited to the store to learn how to the play the game (which meets every week) and to paint him models. Now if you knew my son, he finds it hard to sit still and quiet :-). But, believe me...... He is hooked!!!!!!
It so lovely to see him concentrate and actually show some pride in what he is doing.... Ie the painting, that when Hubby took him today and saw him throw himself into the project with gusto, he ended up buying some more model paint........
And some school uniform items...... Which all in all came to the tune of £50!!!!!! Now, as justification, the uniform was a must...?. He is growing so quick and the paint...... Well, ... It would be lovely to see him make a hobby of something and he certainly seems keen :-)
Also...... (shamefaced). Hubby took the Call of Duty back to Blockbuster and ended up buying the thing. Granted, I was was going to buy it for Christmas, but HM# sold out, so I just didn't add it to my list. Tonight, he actually haggled with the Blockbuster attendant and managed to get the price of rental (as he was going to re rent it) taken off the actual price of the game...... So it cost him £30. Not too bad for a new game.
I just wish I had known first...... Sigh.
Then he came home with a bottle of wine for me, knowing that it's probably the last *kneesup* I can have before I go back to work on Monday :-)
I didn't have the heart to tell him I have a headache and not in the mood for drinking. Ahhhhh well, it will be good in the cupboard till the weekend :-)
And in further news......
I've totted up various money I have lying about.......
Silver coins = £12 , who would have thought it??????
Cash in hand = £45.
Account = £43.
I know next week is going to be a bind, because Hubby doesn't get paid until next Friday and with the exception on Child Benefit, not sure when that is due..... We don't have any incoming.
Let's see what I can conjour up in the next week or two!!!!!
Game On!!!!!

Oooooooo before I forget...... In other news......
Another £5 made on eBay , total is now £24 ..... Whoop!!!!
And I made a curry, using frozen leftover pork from New Years dinner and flapjacks from the old style board. Rather thrifty for me , I think :-)
I'm slowly getting the hang of this..... But as they say, slow and steady wins the race. I do hope they are right :-)
Enjoy your evening, everyone.

Decided to open the bottle of wine anyway :-)
Hopefully it will help me to sleep? The last few nights have been a bit odd. Waking up in a sweat and lightheaded. Not sure if I'm just stressing over *stuff* or coming down with something. Either way, I could really do with a half decent sleep tonight.
Sat on the sofa sipping the wine and watching Munchkin and Princess laughing together..... Now what could I have to be stressed about?????
I wonder :-)Debt total before IVA = £43,350.

Thanks Elly, you are so right!
Sometimes it's easy to take your eye off the ball and forget the bigger picture...... After all this is why most of us concentrate on debt busting, to have a happy home :-)
Today has seen me purge my wardrobe even more. I have 4 days of core work wear. A day off, wear and a two day weekend wear. The actual amount of clothes I have is completely astonishing, considering I can never find anything to wear!!!!
I have ironed and put each days wear together on a hanger, so they are all ready to put on. I have also sorted my underwear drawer, keeping only the lovely sets I have..... All laid out nicely in an underwear drawer.
This has been a great exercise, as I can see at a glance exactly what wonderful clothes I have and what I need to buy.
At the moment all I really need is a nice black Cardigan, which I could buy with my £20 M&S vouchers, given to me for Christmas.
Before this, I would have panicked and bought a whole load of new clothes....... Which in reality I don't need.
This will free me up to buy only things I want to buy!!!!! Like those Louboutins I'm always talking about :-).
My mind is made up to only save for quality items, those that will enhance the clothes I already have. Eg..... I bought a beautiful Jasper C long, pleated, cream coat in September. What it really needs in another belt in a different colour to break up the colour blockness of the coat.
My eye is currently on a Prada belt, which will set it off lovely. Hubby bought me a lovely faux fur snood and Mum a pair of black suede Dents gloves. Let's see how I get on?
Maybe if I challenge myself to pay £1000 off the debt in the next 6 months, then anything over that I make will go towards the belt?...
Oh dear, I do love my high end fashion...... Why did they invent Net A Porter? Lol Xx
Anyway, I realise now...... I don't actually NEED anything, so anything else is a bonus.
In other news..... Spent £1 on envelopes for eBay postages and £1 on hair bobbles for Princess (School)
Other money remains the same...... For now....... Lol Xx

Hi Enchanted, have you tried ebay for your high end fashion fixes? Especially for things like belts which you know will fit and you will like when on?
Are you going to weigh in the clothes you have streamlined out of your wardrobe? Maybe you could put that money into a 'Prada' pot?! Or maybe if you did surveys and cashed out in supermarket vouchers you could then take the cash equivalent out of your shopping budget and put that in the Prada pot. Everyone deserves a treat now and then.
I hope you sleep better tonight also XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Oooooooo PLMBL...... That sounds like a plan :-)
A while ago I signed up for mystery shopping, a survey site and today Field Agent...... Thank you Ladybird, if you ever read my diary :-)
This might just be the ticket, alongside my new interest in eBay, to get the debts down and afford the bits and pieces that I want.
For Christmas my parents gave me a cheque for £100 to purchase something nice with, but the finances the way they are, when I cashed it, the money got swallowed up into the bills.
To be honest, I'm a little cross about this as everyone else managed to get vouchers or gifts, but it looks like my Christmas present is the gas and electric for the month.......
IF ..... We have £100 left over..... Which I seriously doubt.... At the end of the month.... I'm going to put it in a separate account and treat myself.
Why is it always the mother who sacrifices? Maybe, it because we know it's our job??? Really , I wouldn't have it any other way :-)
Enchanted Xx
Ps..... I'm finishing off the bottle of red from yesterday...... Lovely with value sausages, made into toad-in-the-hole :-)Debt total before IVA = £43,350.
