An Enchanting Fairytale........ Part One.

Jox, thanks for the kick up the bum! Sometimes I do need a check on reality :-). To be honest, some days I feel like I'm too easily influenced and say 'yes' too readily to people, to keep the peace. This is often to my detriment.
I make mistakes...... Lots of them, but hopefully I'm starting to learn.
The increase in debt was mainly due to Hubby being in an accident and writing off the car and another being needed. Not ideal, but as you say it's all part of life.
I have a lot to learn, like I said, but hopefully once this trip to London is over I will be able to toughen up and become more discerning with what I need.
Thank you, for your honest reaction to what you have read, I appreciate it.
I hope you stick with me on my journey and see my debt total reduce bit by bit?
Take Care.

Yes, I'm definitely subscribed and here on the journey, I really like your writing style and didn't want to bring you down since you're not well today...sorry to hear about your hubby's accident, hope he's ok!
I'm the same age as you but without kids so I guess it's easier for me not to spend too much money sometimes as I'm working full time, though I have a husband with expensive tastes that I have to rein in sometimes!
I know what you mean about not being able to say no, I'm like that too, don't want to miss out on things as well and disappoint people, but maybe if you tell yourself that it's not forever...?
Maybe you can break down your debt in your signature and update every month how it's going down?
We're all rooting for you!0 -
Thanks Jox!
We seem very much alike :-) I had a quick look at your details and it looks like you have the birth date the day before mine! Virgos unite!
Looking forward to your suggestions on my diary and getting to know you better.
I think the idea of a monthly debt total seems great. I will update now :-)
Cheers!

I do love a Virgo
I think I'm a bit more picky and "anally retentive" than the average Virgo though!
Keep on with the posting, I'll enjoying reading the fairy tale about the fair princess slaying the debt-dragon and living happily every after!0 -
Hello 2am, we meet again

My stomach cramps are back again for the second night running, just taken some paracetamol in the hope that it will help. Fingers crossed I will soon be back in my lovely, comfy bed all snug and cosy.
The castle is spookily quiet this time of the morning, so I'm trying to turn this unexpected time into something positive and catching up with updating my figures and playing around with some numbers.
The main account stands at £28 and I have £30 in my purse. This is to last until Friday when Hubby gets paid. I can't foresee any major bills to be paid between then and now, so I'm not unduly worried.
Tomorrow, I don't need to make the trip to the Emerald City, as I have a day to myself. I have the feeling that I'm going to need it!!
If I was exhausted yesterday, goodness knows how I'm going to feel when I need to wake up...... I guess I will cross that bridge when the time comes.
I do have a few job, to attend, namely my Grandma's birthday gift to buy and two small presents for Princess to take to parties over the weekend. So, stomach cramps permitting, I will try and pop out for them sometime tomorrow.
I also think I might spend some time looking at my Law of Attraction literature. I could do with re-visiting the main principles and setting up some kind of gratitude journal. When I have explored this concept before it has worked it's magical powers. Right now, I could do with all the help I can get x.
Anyway, I'm going to trudge on up to my Ivory Tower and hope for some sleep. In an awful lot of ways I'm a very lucky girl, I realise that. I'm grateful for everything that I have and I want to continue to make my life as happy and as comfortable as possible, whilst planning for our future.
Onwards and upwards.......

It has been a productive day after all :-)
I have managed to get both children's homework finished, an accomplishment in itself..
Washing all folded, in piles and ready to put away.
Grandma's present bought and the two little kiddie presents bought.
Winter boots for Princess and a new PE kit for Munchkin.
A few bits and bobs from Tesco.
So all in all I spent the £30 in my purse. The only luxury I bought was a bottle of red wine.
I also baked a Chocolate fudge cake to cut into squares. Half to eat now and freeze the other half for a later date. Also, also, also....... I roasted some chicken thighs and am going to attempt a home-made curry, rather than call a takeaway :-)
I'm learning :-)
Also decided to tackle a particular debt. My Lloyds Credit card currently at it's limit £2000. I want to set a target of 12 months to have this cleared and wiped from existence. I feel happier knowing I have some direction.
My stomach doesnt seem so bad today, let's see how tonight goes.
I feel so grateful for today x. I'm upbeat and happy. Looking forward to the Emerald City tomorrow.
Enjoy your evening everyone Xx

Hope you're much better now! I'm in bed with a stomach ache today, must be something going round!
Well done sticking to your budgets and working out a plan for the credit card
I had a chart for my loans and credit cards, pinned up on the kitchen notice board and ticked off the payments every month, felt good to be watching the numbers go down!0 -
Hi Enchanted, I was just wondering how you've been getting on this week?
Did you read your LOA books? Do you recommend any?
I'm reading From Stress to Success in 31 days by John Demartini, let's hope some of it rubs off and I'm flying high by the end of November
