my sister uses the angel care monitor and her baby is 9 months old (he had a fit last month and stopped breathing in the ambulance so even though he's 9 months old she needs the reassurance) . if my baby had gone into his own room at less than 6 months then i would definitely have bought one.
just a thought - how big is that eco crib mothercare sell?'bad mothers club' member 13

We had the small cot from IKEA, and then when DDs outgrew this went straight into toddler bed.0

Put her i her own room!! Beleive me it will do her the world of good and be better for you in the long run. My wife is quite a worrier so I let her Keep our daughter in our room for the first 6 months (she went into a travel cot once she outgrew her moses basket).
Now, at 1 year old, our daughter sleeps in our bed!! I tear my hair out every night because we put her down in her own room then she wakes up just as we get into bed and won't go back down!!
The earlier the better is my advice.[0 -

Reading this post with interest as same applies here but we do have enough room in our bedroom for the cot (just!), but had been wondering how the hell I was going to move it from the babies room where it is all set up. Of course!! The travel cot that is buried in the garage somewhere!! Off to find it now....... thanks for posting that. Since baby number 2 my brain has turned to jelly :rolleyes:0 -
6 months? 6 weeks? oh dear, makes me feel like a terrible mother. My two slept in their own rooms at about 3 weeks - they SNORED!Ellie

my DD is 4 months old and we've been kipping on the sofa downstairs! her cot and baskert both been empty since she was about 2 weeks and developed bad colic, so she's up most of the night with me - great fun!! she's only just starting to settle now at night, so fingers crossed am planning to try to get her in her cot - which is in our room by the way.
can't believe it when people's kids sleep thru the night!!! am so jealous! have breastfed mine and they woke up at least 3-4 times a night....makes life so much easier when they're in your room0 -
Those of you thinking of using the travel cot as a bed ,just be aware that they are designed for occasional use not all the time.
Something about the base / matress not being particularly supportive to babies back for long term prolonged use0 -
