I used a very good monitor for reassurance !
good point here.
dont beat yourself up about it. my ds went into his room at 6 weeks because of the same problem, after about a couple of weeks we both settled down into the new routine and alls fine now (he's 5 now), my youngest went almost straight into her room.Give blood - its free0 -
If your looking for a cot that isn't too big dur to space I noticed the mothercare hereford cot is alot smaller then normally cots but obviously bigget then the moses basket.0

Ikea do really small sized cots too. Ideal as I think they're as wide as a Moses, but have the extra length. When I worked for Mothercare - if people had your dilema, and weren't ready to move babe to it's own room (completely understandable) we always suggested that!0

for my little one in my bedroom i had a crib birrger than a moses basket yet not as big as a cot.Other women want a boob job. Honey the only silicone i'm interested in is on a 12 cup muffin tray, preferably shaped like little hearts0

You could try Freecycle for a cot then you'd only have to buy a new mattress (essential).
There are many many people who don't share a room with their baby, so don't beat yourself up about it- it will all be OK.Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0 -
One of my friends has suggested a device that goes under her mattress that monitors if she stops breathing, anybody know where. Just been on mothercare and can't see it, I am not sure really what I am looking for. if the child stops breathing then the alarm goes off. I would put her straight in her own room if I could find one like this as it would make me feel quite happy.Oh....I'm not going to lie to you......At the end of the day, when alls said and done......do you know what I mean.........TIDY0
