Do you have a carycot on her pram that you could use or can you get the pram upstairs for her to sleep in?

mmm, what about in her room with a blow up single bed for you? Asda are knocking them out near us?
  • My LO outgrew his basket at 7 weeks and then went in to his own room.

This was the first night he slept through and has done ever since:D

    It's great in here! :)
  • My DS went in his own room in his moses basket from 3 weeks and was in his cot from 6 weeks and he's much happier by himself than he was in with us as we all kept each other awake, he's 17 weeks now and has been known to sleep 10 hours straight through on occasion :)

I know "they" suggest baby sleeping in parents room for first 6 months but if you dont have the room ! ........

personally, my sons both went into their own room aged approx 8 weeks old ,this coincided with them outgrowing the moses and going into their cots

I used a very good monitor for reassurance !

If you don't have the room, you don't have the room. You can only do what you can do.

Perhaps put LO into a cot in own room and buy a baby breathing monitor?
  • Hi we had this problem, and had not got round to clearing her bedroom to put her in - so we ended up buying the cheapest cot we could find (as this would fit in our room) - she is just going in her own bedroom now Hurrah !! , so we will put her in the cot bed that her brother had and sell the small cot - not the money saving expert way, but the only way we could think of, as the cotbed was expensive and we want our daugther to grow into it.
  • I think we used kiddicare for the cot and was only around £50 ish - we did not need top of range as she was only going to be in it for a few months
