  • I regularly see my neighbour wandering around in the street computer in hand trying to find someones unprotected wi-fi to use, he doesn't even hide it either and readily admits what he is doing if asked!
I've had some class neighbours in the past as has my OH so I really feel for you, hope it gets sorted.

What an idiotic thing to say, you have had insulation installed by an installing company who know what they are doing, they place brushes down both sides front and back to stop the insulation into your neighbours properties, this is common practice. There is no chance that they will take you to court, it will be laughed out of there. The removal of insulation costs thousands and is only normally done under the CIGA guarantee.

As brushes have been placed between you and your neighbours, they are not insulated, maybe you could tell them that they can get it done for free as well, give them the contact details you used to get yours done.

They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

  • They are picking on you as they see you as weak.

I used to work with offenders. Give them no ground, call the police at the first sign of trouble, and tell them they need to get a solicitor if they have any issues.

If you even entertain or look quizical about what they are saying then they will know the bullying is working.

They are playing with you and trying to intimidate you and you are a victim of bullying. Stop being a victim - follow the advice above.

There is no middle line with people like this, and no way to interact with them normally. Whatever you do, don't be friendly with them - business like, short - "Best contact a solicitor then mate" to any threat. If you say you are going to call the police - call them! If you threaten and don't follow through they will see that as weakness as well.

The police will be happy to hear from you - don't hesitate to call them :)
  • Any updates on this insulationwoes? :)

Print off a nice invoice for half your heating bills for however long you've been neighbours and present it to him. Tell him if he doesn't pay his "share" of the "shared heating" bill you'll take him to court.

Oh, and take a video of him working out in his back garden with his herniated disc.
Oh and another thing, a sneaky picture of the dad doing his weights would interest the benefit fraud hotline people, I begrudge working my !!!! off to support low life like this.

  • Well it's been a while since I posted an update as nothing much has really happened on the insulation "i'm taking you to court!" front. Infact we haven't heard a peep from them since the phonecall.

    Until this morning.

I %$^& you not, at 5am this morning an armed police team raided next door neighbours house and took the dad away in handcuffs.

From what I can gather from the PC who came to speak to us (our fence was damaged in the commotion so we needed to fill in some forms) they had been watching him for a number of months now and had taken away "a number of knives and ornamental swords" which is why they had armed police involved. They wouldn't tell me anything else however so I don't actually know what they wanted him for, and the wife and kids are acting like they know nothing.

I'm completely floored that they had weapons in their house as i've been inside a few times back when we were friendly and not seen anything so they must have either been hidden or locked away upstairs in the bedrooms and not on display.

Oh my gosh, insulationwoes!!! Seems I picked a good moment to read through your story here - can't believe this morning's developments! It's like a film!

Perhaps he was secretly storing his weapons in your wall cavity and that's why the insulation made him so mad :rotfl:
