Yay!! Our replacement invites have arrived :D

I can't decide now what type of pen to write them with! How silly is that!!

    Lol

By the time we had made all the invitations I was so sick of it all that I just wrote in Biro in my usual handwriting lol and my mum got all funny that I hadn't used a fancy pen and done fancy writing! I don't think anyone will notice but I do understand about wanting everything to be perfect.

Will keep an eye out for you too! Any particular style you want or don't want? x

Ivory, strapless, but most importantly with good reviews because I am terrified about going strapless - never have before! Would prefer a basque with suspender straps but if it came to it I'd have to go with a strapless bra I suppose.

Mind you, I am going to hold off a while as my bra size may change if I lose weight...here's hoping!

Have you tried one of those ones with the plastic 'hands' in them? I've heard good things but haven't tried one myself. I think they are from Wonderbra...

Edit here is the link will keep looking for basques!

As for pens I haven't left a space for a name on the invitations, it just says Mr & Mrs blah blah invite you to a reception etc. I am considering writing in the names on the RSVP though cause I know people will forget to! and I'd just use a regular biro I think.

Work is slow today, ugh! Just want to get home to make my invitations!!!

They don't seem to have my size in the wonderbra! It's one the list but when I select it it won't let me add it to bag.

    Damn big boobies!

I think you need to select a colour first?

If you already did maybe you could see if Debenhams or the like could order one in for you?

    Lol

I tried one of those italic pens hated it used a nice rollerball pen that wrote smoothly and did them in my own handwriting which I'm always be told looks nice anyway :rotfl:

I keep getting these "I'm just sick of it all" feelings anyone else? I had a real strop on last night after by stupid MIL2B lied to my face the coniving old cow!! She think's I'm stupid and that she can manipulate my OH. Well newsflash love I'm wise to you and nothing gets past me!

Got so many people pulling out because of the distance I just feel totally fed up we originally had 85 now I think we are down to about 50-60 :( I expected a few to pull out but the ones I wanted haven't lol Feel like i'm spending all this money on people I don't even liker (*cough*MIL2B)

Managed to secure another 4-6K for the wedding so that is a HUGE weight off my mind. Going to do some serious shopping with my CBM in a couple of weekends time so hopefully get most of the last few silly bits.

I am really stuck find jackets for the BM's any ideas? The dresses are a jade/emerald colour. Plus I'm stuck on shoes :(

I think i'm just down cause I have been working to much recently 110 hours from the 23rd Dec - 1st Jan :( Plus me & OH are hardly seeing each other at the min and when he is back to visit he is sleeping. Just feel very alone atm

Hope all you girls are ok

Oh dear, sounds like you are having a bit of a time of it :(

I'm a bit worried about our numbers too , don't suppose we'll know exactly who's coming to Vegas until right nearer the time. Everyone is still being positive but I'm terrified when it comes down to it they'll pull out cause of the cost :(

And as for the reception we're having the opposite problem, up to 130 from a 100 and can't find a way to cut down numbers! Going to have to be very ruthless with plus ones I think, unless we get a few early declines.

Your money news is great though, lucky you!!

Hmmm BM jackets... Do you actually want a proper jacket as opposed to a wrap/pashima? How about a bolero? And colours, you could either go with green and try and match the colour, or pick a similar shade, or maybe do contrasting, like a dusky pink? The easiest thing would be to go with a neutral colour, or maybe gold or silver. Are there any other colours in your scheme at all?

Don't worry honey, you aren't alone, we're here! Just concentrate on looking after yourself so you don't burn out, you and OH will have your whole lives to spend together after the wedding :o

I'm still bored at work, can you tell? Have been on MSE all day! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My colleague suggested one of them gel pens in silver, but nothing is silver at our wedding! I then thougt about a purple one as our theme is lilacs and purples but would this be too much on an ivory invite with a lilac and purple butterfly on? Ohhh I don't know what to do!!

I've messaged people from our guest list today using Facebook asking for their addresses and all but 1 have come back with their address so I'm taking that as a good sign that they will be coming!

Really annoyed at OH's sister though! She's said she won't be coming as she doesn't want to take her 3 year old son out of nursery for the day!!! She's so full of excuses! I'd understand if he was older and sitting his gcse's but I'm sure for his uncles wedding she could make an exception! Tbh she comes up with all different excuses for everything if it will put her out! My OH can't stand her anyway neither can his mum n dad, they've had enough of her! I didn't want to be seen as the issue by not inviting or double checking if she had a rethink but after her response today saying:

    Hi. I have
For a start I haven't been told where it is being held . I've only been told the date. That's it.
and I can't. It gonna cost £100 to get there stay the nite and come back the next day. I just can't afford it sorry

She does know where it is, and how would she know how much it would cost if she didn't know!!! grrr!! Omg do I sound like bridezilla??? :(

Oh Faith, I hope you can feel a bit more cheerful soon :( I always feel for you being apart from your OH - I know I couldn't do it.

We have a meeting with our venue tomorrow! They have sent us an agenda and everything! Quite excited but also scared...
