Oh Daisy, hope you're ok. x

Feel like we're finally catching up. Invites are finally sorted, we have a band, bridesmaid dresses are done. Still need to do they boys suits then it's just mainly bits and pieces. We've got a planning meeting at the venue in a couple of weeks.

One thing I've been wondering (those of you also getting married in a church)-do you have any paperwork from them yet? I've not had anything from mine and as it's not our local one we need to arrange for our banns to be read. Just a bit worried as obviously the actual ceremony is pretty important!

Awe Daisy so sorry your feeling like this, I wont ask you to air your worries but know you've lots of friends here and your more than welcome to pm at anytime day or night! :grouphug:

First day back for me too girls! Although I cheered myself up by posting all my invitations today - all 180 adults and 11 kids!!!!! This small wedding of mine :o:eek:

Am kinda in panic mode about money now, I havent budgeted really well at all and took the saving a bit easy from September coz it was both my kids birthdays and then Christmas so am feeling I'm going to be about £1500 short before the wedding.

Only thing to worry about now other than the pennies is dress fitting on 29th January. Girls dress fittings at the end of February.

Just need to pay the DJ, entertainer which I cant cancel as a contract was signed, flowers, cake and alterations.

Oh and underwear, I need a good ivory bra set something nice with no lace, which I cant see anything nice about in the shops.

Finally booked our hotel for New York last week, it only took 4 days to get me to make a decisions :o

How's the weightloss going for everybody?! I've basically stayed the same for months now lol

Laura have you done your banns form for both local church and the church you're getting married in? Our banns are being read this Sunday and the next two after so if you haven't I'd suggest it's a top priority!!! I had to contact both churches myself though, not the other way around.

Daisy - also happy to read if you want more views :)

Aww thank you girls :) You're all so nice! I probably won't take you up on it right now as it was hard enough telling one person, and I don't want anyone to say something I don't want to hear! :o but it is lovely to know we are all there for each other.

I don't feel any better about it all but have calmed down a bit and we probably won't end up calling off the wedding..... probably. Lol! I hope! Work was HARD with everyone asking about the wedding, 'ooh this is the big year!' etc and they probably thought I was so weird that I just gave one word answers and changed the subject quickly. Don't want to think about it :(

Glad to hear you are getting there with the planning! :D

Have you actually arranged your planning meeting then? We got an email saying we needed to arrange one and I emailed back and then haven't heard anything else. Oh also, are you going to the menu tasting on the 23rd?

I am getting marred in a Catholic church so it's probably very different. I have had to do the chasing though regarding paperwork and preparation etc so I would suggest getting in touch with them...

Yep, we're going on the 23rd. They sent over the newest menu, it all looks yummy! We have our planning meeting a week after the tasting. I think getting the email about it gave me a massive kick! Not sure when you've suggested bit they recommended doing it after the tasting so you have ideas about canapes/food choices. Also they mentioned the toast master would be there as well so maybe they have to confirm with him too.

Apart from the booking confirmation we've not had anything from our church. We were hoping to speak to someone yesterday but it was someone different taking the service. Hopefully we can speak to him on Sunday...otherwise there'll be lots of phone calls!

Of course! I had to ask for it, they didn't offer! Also, I got them on the phone about the planning meeting so you might have more luck giving them a call tomorrow.
