What a gift to be able to help and inspire.

Of course I did - Alchemilla must be obeyed!0 -
Mr E, this is what I do too: read these books, extract the applicable/do-able and apply, ignore the quasi/physco babble they often surround their theories with. For example, I am keen on cutting waste but not for the green/ecological reasons, but for economic ones. Thanks for the headsup on the other books, will give them a look too.
Happy economising!0 -
E can you train Mr Alchemilla?
He says yes darling and completely ignores me.0 -
E can you train Mr Alchemilla?

Absolutely stuffed after roast chicken. In true rubber chicken style, we're going to get another roast dinner out of it (reheated), chicken for a squash and chicken risotto, gravy and bones for my [STRIKE]stock box[/STRIKE] freezer.
Have bagged up £46 of change for the Kitchen Pot, Mrs E kindly donated £10 she has saved up0 -

- Bought a 2nd hand copy of 'The Millionaire Next Door' for the princely sum of £2.19
- Only other spend for the day was a cold drink (it was unseasonably warm in Glasgow!)
- Opened a new H@lifax Reward Current Account for the money shuffle (I miss my fivers). I need to set up 2 new DDs - can they be anything? I was thinking Paypal and Zopa?

You're right GG - in the account T&Cs it says that you need to pay the DDs in the previous month to get the reward.
I guess I'll create a savings DD and move my life insurance, the Spanish bank don't give me cashback on that one.0 -
