There is a chap at work who I think must have something wrong with his nose (he's had a cold for 2 years solid) who walks around in a *cloud* of the stuff. I hate the smell of it now!
Another insane day at work chasing people around, politely trying to disagree with people and having to be a lot pushier than comes naturally to me
Still, managed to get my boss to agree to my day off tomorrow, so I will get some QT to finally beat this bug :T- Bought lunch again, but got extra Mr T points using my credit card
- Paid in £170 of change
- £1.10 into kitchen pot
- £4 into remortgage pot

What a productive day off :j
- Went to L1dl
- Went to Asd@
- Re-hung towel rail (again, apparently I can't re-use the existing holes)
- Went to the doctor
- Found super reduced duck legs at Asd@ (£1.42/2). Bought 10, roasting 2 for dinner, boned out 8 (portioned out and frozen, enough for 5 meals), kept all the bones for stock, rendered the skin and fat to make 200ml of duck fat and duck cracklings (have I mentioned I like duck? :rotfl: )
- £3.16 into kitchen pot
- £4 into remortgage pot

Do you like Duck by any chance? I don't think you mentioned it...:rotfl:

Yuk. Much prefer Vicks!
Anyway, just caught up with the thread again, for some reason fell off my radar. Looks like progress being made and I heard a rumour that you like duck. Is this true?:rotfl:0 -
for some reason fell off my radar.
I think I fell off my own MFW radar for a whole :rotfl:
Got a quarterly utilities bill today. Drum roll.... -£452! Certainly beats the £750 we owed them after last winter. Now if I can just keep the heating off for another week we're off on holiday and it won't go on 'til nearly October.0 -
We got a letter from the Spanish bank this morning - OP has been applied to our account and we currently have 22 years and 8 months to go - not if I have anything to say about it

Our payments remain the same (well, give or take 80p), but it's good to see decent amounts of time coming off (even though we're only a year and a bit into the term).
Another busy Saturday of driving around looking for bits and bobs for the house:- Purchased a linen chest for £26.99 (pine, Homb@se cheapie). Nice enough for what it cost, although it was a PITA having to drive back as the right screws weren't included. Built now
- Purchased a short ottoman (white wood) for £24.99 (hurrah for B&M and their scaffy furniture!) Not built, gimme a break
- £2 to kitchen pot
- £4 to overpayment pot
- HM soup with whoopsied chicken, swede, savoy cabbage, onions and pearl barley for dinner
Mrs E is threatening to start varnishing things tomorrow - what have I started?
Feeling relaxed and blessed.0
