So - does anyone else find the Quick! Grabbit while you can board addictive?
I've saved a fortune on Christmas gifts, (Yankee Candles, Lego and Whittards of Chelsea stuff) and managed to get some prezzies for individuals who are normally a total PITA to buy for) :rotfl:
Can't say it's doing wonders for my MFW quest tho, Christmas is expensive :eek:0 -
I've not been on that thread for the exact reason you give!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0

Day 2 of Mr E's 'stop being a greedy beggar in time for Christmas' diet
Today I will be having a poached egg on wholemeal toast with light spread and a coffee, a small portion of uncooked porridge with a few pumpkin seeds and walnuts mid morning, rolls with ham and cucumber for lunch and a sensible dinner.
I *think* I got down to about 2000 calories yesterday - good if you consider that 2700-3000 is more like my normal
Not looking for any dramatic changes, half a stone would be nice and should be attainable. Also cutting out adding salt to prepared food, mid week boozing and any work snacks over 100 cals (i.e. fruit or bust)0 -

Hi Ed
Just catching up and a bit upset I missed the recipe discussion! So going to put my 2p worth in anyway. I roast it with chunks of courgette, red onion, a few cherry toms and red pepper - season with pepper and chopped garlic, drizzle oilive oil and then mix together before roasting. Mix with cous cous made with veg stock and top with feta cheese - mmmmm....hungry just thinking about it!
Hope you have managed to come out of hiding at work;)

I like the GG school of dieting
:rotfl:
Good luck with your weight loss. My OH recently swapped his sandwich for a salad every day (no other change) and you can tell he has lost weight. I'd need to replace every morcel of food with a piece of lettuce for that to happen to me:rotfl:
I love "quick grabbit!" and even more I love hotukdeals at this time of year but they bankrupt me! They make me buy bargains that I didn't even know I needed. I avoid them for the majority of the year but pre-Christmas you do get some good deals on there.0 -
You guys are fantastic at coming up with ways to *not* diet :rotfl:
I was well behaved again today and am just about to have dinner of veggie burgers, reduced salt and sugar beans and a salad. Odd combo, but I'm going for filling without fatty! Planning a nice meal of spicy pork belly roasted with butternut squash, peppers, onion, garlic and partially cooked brown rice tomorrow. Only partially cooked before it goes in the oven, before some wag points out my mistake
Work continues to be crazy busy, which I'm enjoying, just not convinced it will stay that way.
Off for a driving lesson in the driving rain...0 -
Those meals sound yummy..... Am definitely going to be copying some of those...0
