£50?! what's the present?
2/7ths of a fancy wireless speaker. You know something's overpriced tat when Jay-Z raps about it.
Went to Mrs E's parents for dinner and picked up our share of the Serrano ham from Christmas. 2kg of ham and 1kg of bones, which I'll be turning into a rich porky stock in the pressure cooker tomorrow. I'll be going for an Asian-style stock with star anise, cinnamon and ginger.
Not best pleased that Mr E's Dad didn't bother his behind printing out the L1dl voucher that would have saved us a fiver, but hey, it's still a lot of ham for £20! :rotfl:0 -

Thanks SF, just need to pop out to shops to buy carrots, celery and ginger and I'll get started.
Drove Mrs E into work this morning and it's blimmin' miserable again!
I am trying to distract myself from the weather (and thoughts of going back to work) by keeping busy. Planning on either bottling my beer or taking down the Christmas tree, neither of which is a particularly enjoyable option.- £33.77 to Freedom Fund (various items of cashback/eBay sales), passed January target with 21 days 'til payday)
- £4 to Remortgage Pot
- £2 to Kitchen Pot
- £5 H@lifax reward has been paid for the first time on my new acc, it was bundled into the Freedom Fund payment
- Got my free £2 Am@zon MP3 credit from the MSE newsletter, downloaded 2 good folk/bluegrass tracks and then unsubscribed from their mailing list
- Posted eBay item
- After weeks of waiting, £12.12 cashback was applied to TCB
- Was tempted (and resisted) going to our local cafe for breakfast while feeling sorry for myself

Probably not SF, as I'd already doubled the target relative to the month before and I don't want to leave myself entirely skint (my jogging trainers need replaced after 2.x years, can't find them much cheaper than £70)
Still, that's me set (and beaten) a savings target for 3 months on the trot, it feels rewarding to see it grow.
I will still add to it, just at a slower pace.0 -

I'm going to be sensible/scaffy - will try them on tomorrow in a ripoff shop selling them for £115 and then order them online
Need to be able to get the perfect fit at the price they're looking for (c. £70).
