Spent all day in a first aid training course - fairly tedious - but managing to stay awake
Unfortunately there are another 2 days to go but 1) it gets me out of the office and 2) it gets me a small pay rise (something like £25/mth)
Home nice and early and spending some QT with Mrs E. Recovering from our terror last night at thinking that the boiler had conked out! It looked like it had developed a terminal problem, but then miraculously fixed itself. We have cover in place now, but time off work is very difficult to arrange in the run up to Christmas. Fingers crossed...- £3 to Freedom Fund (nearly at target for month)

Day 2 of training was much, much better. Original trainer was replaced by someone a lot more experience and things flowed considerably better. While I felt bad for the original trainer, I did feel a bit like we were getting the 'C' team. Test tomorrow, a few nerves, but hopefully the assessor will be gentle on me...

I love Alchemilla's dry sense of humour - I suspect that you would offend a lot of my work colleagues :rotfl:
I am now a qualified first aider :j
34/35 on the test, was complimented on the level of detail that went into my practical session. Not planning a career in medicine any time soon, but pleased that I worked hard and got a good result!
Back into real work tomorrow (narrowly avoided a stooshiette with my boss this morning), will have lots to do by the end of the week. The course has been quite good fun as I was on it with one of our former HR staff and they had lots of good gossip.
Will need to not eat a) rolls and sausage and b) chips for quite some time- £3 to Freedom Fund (target for the month beaten with 15 days 'til payday)

We all got out of work early today after someone broke the internet :j
Unfortunately it means that there's loads to do tomorrow, but I will set my alarm half an hour early and show face to make sure we catch up with our month end reporting. A very busy and enjoyable day today, I think the first aid course has been good for my confidence.
Used the extra time productively and there's a dinner of roast pork cooking away for Mrs E's arrival, with HM bread turning away in the bread maker.
I can't believe that it's almost the weekend!
Doing a little bit of Christmas shopping today and this evening and managing to pick up some rather good cashback and voucher offers.- £2.75 to Freedom Fund

Isnt break a leg what the thespians say to each other??
I thought you were riffing off that + the fact that breaking a leg is the last thing you'd want to do with first aid? Pretend that's what you meant, it was a great joke :rotfl:0 -
