We all got out of work early today after someone broke the internet :j.

Lucky you. If our internet broke we would just have to sit here twiddling our thumbs as there is NO WAY the boss would let us go home.
Happy Friday Ed - its absolutely flown by this week.

Douglas Renham is *brilliant* :rotfl:Happy Friday Ed - its absolutely flown by this week.
It certainly has MCI - and I worked my tail off from quarter past eight this morning and feel like I actually deserve it
My month end reporting is now 2/3 done and there have been relatively few surprises. I got a bit stressed by competing demands, but it all worked out ok in the end. I had been a little worried that rumours were true about my new boss getting the boot, but he's alive and wellish (getting over a medical condition) and will be back soon.
My happiness at discovering my favourite drink (a lovely stout called 'March of the Penguins') at Aldi was somewhat eclipsed by the £300 repair bill from the factor for our share of roof repairs that greeted me when I got home
On the plus side, once they're done we'll no longer have water dripping in the cupboard with the fuse box and my neighbour (who had his flat insulated last year) mentioned that the folk who did it said that we have next to no insulation (I'm surprised that they didn't try to tout for our business). So that's a fairly cheap job that will make a real difference to our gas bills once the tiling is repaired... Hurrah for MFW, budgeting and emergency funds.
I have almost bought all of Mrs E's Christmas presents now and this weekend will involve some bulk cooking, taxi duties and going to see Gravity at the cinema (in 3D, or possibly mahoosive 3D at the Imax)?- £2.23 to Freedom Fund
- £2 to Remortgage Pot
- £1 to Kitchen Pot
*Edit: and opened another account with N@tionwide. Accepted straight away, but think I either entered some details wrongly, or Mrs E can't be found on the right databases and we need to prove identity. Seems ridiculous as it's a joint account and we're not getting an overdraft, but hey ho...0 -

That's ok, Mrs E can open one in her own name, a nuisance but not a deal breaker. Actually, it's fine, it's a joint account :j
Today was far busier than it needed to be:- Went to Mr A (got a key cut and picked up some whoopsied steak)
- Went to L1dl for shopping
- Drove Mrs E into town
- Baked bread
- Made squash, carrot and parsnip soup
- Made chili
- Drove Mrs E to try and pick up a parcel - goodness knows where it is
- £2.90 to Freedom Fund
- £2 to Remortgage Pot
- £1 to Kitchen Pot

Oh. I opened mine on Saturday, it was set up on Tuesday, and now I've got to close it -_-0

********** Mrs E dropped a large glass of red wine which smashed over the living room floor
I cleaned it up as fast as I could, but I think the wood may be stained. I mopped up, brushed the glass, wiped with a clean cloth and a bowl of hot water, then mopped up again, then hoovered for glass fragments. Hopefully the darker patches are just excess water.
On a more positive note, the chili was delicious and I sold Mrs E's old phone for £32.50 (£31 + £1.50 from TCB).0
