I'm still struggling to find actual statistics to quote. Most councils annual expenditure isn't broken down enough to use.
I'm doing a comparison of two similar seaside towns Torquay and Bournemouth. Wages in Torquay being a lot lower I think. As far as I've sussed so far, drugs are a bigger problem in Torquay. 3 dedicated NHS rehab units rather than 1 in Bournemouth.
Both are retirement areas with a higher than average percentage of the population over 65. I've assumed that with Torbay being less affluent there will be a greater demand for Govt funded care of the elderly...where people haven't madse provisions for their own Nursing care should the need arise.
Because of the drugs problems there will be more children on the at risk register needing social workers etc etc.....
I know there a few regulars who are from Dorset. Any info if you are around tonight or pointers to where I can get some statistics or reports to quote, I would be eternally grateful.

Try dorsetforyou.com lots of info ESP about DART for drugs and POPP for old people. Useful menu with loads of links. Hope it helps. PM me if you need more help but won't prob read til tomorrow

hmmm....now can i spare a day to spend at the tills in WHSmith trying out the gift voucher deal....spend approx £13 and get 44 cards and £101 worth of gift vouchers?

There are not enough hours in my day to print off coupons, plan shopping, go to various Ts to find stock to use coupons, then go to WHSmiths too.....what to do...what to do??? :)
hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!

Just saw on coupon thread- £5 off Dettol no-touch system, amongst others. dettol.co.uk, click box with 'for amazing prizes, deals and coupons'. Also 75p off Dettol Mould and Mildew remover. Thanks to OP Steenie.

Thanks but I can't see anything on the coupon thread mentioning Dettol, I've registered at the website but can't access any vouchers....

EDIT: Ignore me, didn't try clicking the enormous word at the top saying "COUPONS" D'OH!!

I love penalty shoot outs they give me an extra chance to scalp some more money :)

Phew that's good news. Had visions of you having broken a window or something trying a penalty shoot indoors, see I was on the wrong line. :o

It is the sort of thing Mr Tinyshoes would do. Like the time when he tried to show the TeenyTinyshoes how to do front somersaults on the bed.

Did someone put my chardonnay to chill or do I have to break open one of my ciders. Don't have one very often but need something with a something stronger than caffeine for a change. ;)
