vain effort to catch up, in the midst of life and work taking over...
tiny things to add...
wombled receipts that were paid with someone else's club card DID come back to the email I entered and, yay! :j did get JTD for someone's guinness!
next... had wombled £2 voucher for nice n' easy hair dye, and despite having a £4.50 SEL, went through the till at £1.75 (perfect 10) and then the guy said - can't use this yet!:eek: so I said ha ha ha , better add some other shopping....and did! so freeeeee!
In other news, I am very sorry to hear about Frequent's sadness. They do not understand, sympathise, or even think. There is no excuse.
3Dogs, bless you both. Hugs and all the best wishes in the world. Words don't go there.
-and I felt a certain pang when I read (about 40 pages ago) about someone posting that a dad whoopsied too much and never spent time with the family. (read that feeling guilty) then DD said, oh let's just go to the local Coop.... - less than a mile away, and we needed eggs...
We came back with this, and DH and the children made a christmas tree mosaic out of it!!!! Total cost of all in the photo- £4. Yes, many packs of sausages, chicken, fruit, veg, and 13 pizzas :eek: That is what I get for taking DD with me!!
(hope that isn't a giant photo... am clueless with resizing!)
Good thing we went because MIL and FIL turned up for supper (unannounced!!) but somehow we had plenty!
Hopefully I will catch up properly sooooon!
Hugs to all!0 -
I can see it's a good quality bed :T
I have a very posh Laura Ashley Cheltenham metal bed with brass knobs on it
(£15 in staff sale)
Obviously a bargain given LA's prices.
I went in to a LA store once and left 3 seconds later when I caught glimpse of a price label.:eek:0 -
Well, to save electricity, you could:
A. Put them on a quick wash.
B. Make sure you have a full load of "darks" when you wash them
C. Take them to your mother's/sister's and bung them in their machine when they are not looking
D. Take them to the river and bash them about on the rocks
Very good! I like this!:j rolo-polo1965 :j0 -
Aha, no excuse then, you don't even need to get them washed and dried the same day because you've got another one:pTheir is nothing nicer than getting into a nice clean bed, and while we're at it you need 4 pillows on that bed;)two on each side.Don't start me on beds, you know what I'm like:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Damn, I walked in to that one didn't I?
I only put the other pillows on the bed when there is someone else in it. It's been that long that I don't actually know where the other pillows are.:rotfl:0 -

Those cyclists in Amsterdam are hard work! Spent 3 days trying not to get killed by them or the trams! How on earth they do what they do is beyond me- on phones, texting, with kids hanging off any spare space and anything else completely random. What a lovely place though
Frequent- i was so incensed to read of your daughter's grave being vandalised. I hope the nasty little barstewards get what is coming to them, and soon. I would happily kill anyone who did that to the grave of my nephews'.
Leenie- congratulations Nanna :j My friend has 2 grandchildren 3 weeks apart, and they are brilliant to watch together, being so close in age will be fab as they grow up. Congratulations to Toni and Mr Toni too :j
I have NEVER been so stunned as I was tonight when i walked out of my front door to the amazing sights in the sky above me. Something that I will probably never see again in my lifetime
From my diehard England point of view, it was a shame about the rugby today. I was convinced that was a try when they showed it from the front/other side, but it just wasnt to be
hi QOC, you missed "keeping up with the thread and responding", shaving @ 100 mph on the motorway is a doddle compered :rotfl:
Took four hour walk to defuse. still angry but in a pityful way. Such a shame people don't have anything better to do.
when i were a youngun, for fun we used to play phantom gardening, take one plant and put it in next doors garden, double points for garden gnomes, triple points for putting said gnome in next door front porch, and plant from 1sr house outside other front door, tie fishing line between 2 door knockers, pull line,
hide behind bushes
if we hadn't finished peeing ourselves we'd get some free condoms from boots, fill them up with water, go to top of multi storey car park and lob them off at the people on the ground..that is so much fun u could pee yourself laughingBack to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -
