  • I quite agree.

I've been tescoing for many many years now and do very well out of it, yet I've never had a ban, never been warned, never had clubcard points removed, and have only felt the need to call HO once in all that time. That was recently and was more to do with the snotty attitude of the CS lady and compliance manager than the actual refusal of the refund. If they'd actually been nice about it, I'd have just left it and gone to another store for the refund instead.

I think picking your battles is just as important when tescoing as any particular glitch or voucher.

Watch me get a store ban tomorrow for being a clever clogs! :D:D:D

Yep sound advice. Calling HO is what got me on the Radar, the managers there have had it in for me ever since. I really wouldn't care usually, they can follow me all they want, I don't look for DTD's in this store (local).

The Valentines meal I was o/c on the other day was in a different store, I let it drop and accepted a refund. Was £8 over so £16 DTD, just wasn't worth annoying the managers over small numbers.

In this case though they went overboard. A third DTD in three months (all denied anyway) doesn't warrant their reaction.. But the store itself has a bad rep with the other MSE guys, well known for refusing DTD's. I'll wait for CS response, but thanks for the advise in the post previous to this, I'll be including a few things more in the e-mail to them :)

What a fab cake Miss Laid:j :j perfect for Mad - Happy Birthday Mad :dance::dance::dance::dance: and to Decay for yesterday too

Still got lots of catching up to do, but before I get back to post 501, just want to update you on Mam:

My brother went down to see Mam at 10.45 am, I got there 2.45, he left 3.30 pm, my sister got there 4.15 pm and we were there till 7.10 pm. There had been quite a bit of blood again this morning but only spots later in the day. Mam was tired this morning, picking up about 2 pm, when she got chatty again. The carers, nurse and Doc were all good today. Carers popping in to see her and raise a laugh, one sittign with me and Mam this afternoon for half an hour and Mam laughed the whole time he was there. He commented on how yellow she looked and I said the doc told us it was just the lighting, but he has spent quite a bit time with Mam as he is on the social activities team, and he definitely noticed the change in her

The doc called in when Mam was eating her dinner so called back later and said that, if Mam still bleeding tomorrow or later, they have something they can give her, short-term, to help her. She said they can't be certain of the cause of the bleeding but can try to make her as comfortable as possible. She is on tomorrow too, and said she would check her again then to see if they would be giving her this other medication. This is the doc who saw her briefly on Monday, not the senior doc my sister had a go at for not even looking in on Mam on Tuesday (she is on holiday now)

So it was a much better day for us today, though very tiring of course

And we had good news today. I was really proud of Mr 3Dogs ringing up on his own to sort out the submission of his Debt Relief Order on Tuesday, as he hates using the phone and dealing with things like this. But he said the chap who dealt with it was fantastic and it was no problem to do it. It was submitted on 14th December, and I kept checking on the Insolvency Register to check if it was approved and there it was this morning - approved on 15th February 2012 so his moratorium period will end on 15th February 2013 at which till his debts will be discharged :j :j so will both be totally Debt Free at that point
    :( Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12 :( 3Dogs'Mam 31-3-13 :(

i changed to the new look forum, did not like it. it took me ages to work out how to switch it back to the one we know (stretchy). but its nice to know that if you have set up your settings to stretchy it will still be available after change over.
those that want to stay stretchy dont click on the link Click this to switch back (if you want to - no need)
click on the one a little further down the 1st post-
    3. If you're on the stretchy version and want to try this, use this link if you then want to switch back to stretchy

You can't make someone love you. All you can do is
stalk them & hope they panic & give in

God created men first, cause you always makes a rough draft before a masterpiece!
  • Good whoopsies tonight! DH (lomcevak) and I are enjoying our whoopsied valentine's flowers (he forgot to say I got some for myself!) from tonight's shop, and the OEP supper celebration went down a treat.

Man, we know how to party.
The icing on the cake was that DD and I finally managed a petrol voucher!!! (yes, this did involve crawling under a trolley, but heck, it's worth nearly £5!)

...and we decided that since we are doing so well with buying only whoopsies (except for cheese and eggs) that we might even ...

    BUY BACON!!!

    now that's living! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Have a good night all!
I hope a new glitch is on the horizon :T

Please can someone direct me to the Comfort voucher. I have hunted on this thread and the discount codes thread and cant find it! All I can find is everyone saying that they are using them!!
    Thank you.

I think there was a post either yesterday or the day before to say that someone on HUKD had posted a link.
If you do a search on there it should bring it up as I know it's no longer on the coupon thread here
    HTH
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

Note to self - any glitch in future on Weight Watchers meals, leave well alone! Thankfully just finished the last 2 out of the freezer OMG they are rank:eek: how they justify charging nearly £2 each for half a potato,a slice of carrot and the "meat" from half a chicken wing in some gloopy sauce:eek: gag. How they are supposed to be a whole meal is beyond me, they wouldn't fill up a baby mouse.

I paid £1 for 8 after using a £3 coupon and I feel ripped off.

    :D:D:D

    Very true!

Just one of the many reasons why I prefer the SW diet :D
