And this is why DTD will be scrapped.

    Just sayin............. :rotfl:

Actually no, its not why DTD will be stopped. Some of us have been quietly been doing DTD on things we need and the odd biggie for a long long time. The problem occurs when everyman woman and child in the country is at CS claiming hundreds of pounds.

I advocated restraint on coupon usage, the old DTD system and even CC points collecting but it all fell on deaf ears and greed meant it came to an end.

I'm not wasting my breath this time as it will again fall on deaf ears, instead I'm hammering it sensless before yet another Tesco gifthorse gets killed off like all the others before it.

2l coca cola £1.98 b2g2f. i brought 4 and the offer didnt come off at the till so off to cs i trot, they refused dtd so i phoned head office wilst still there and after 40 mins arguing with head office (on my mobile, im dreading the bill) they honored the dtd.

What excuse did they dream up for refusing you DTD?
  • I wouldn't however advocate people doing this willy nilly,

Quite agree - pick your battles as they say.

clearer picture as the last one wasnt verry clear

the manager (who i have now made a complaint about) basicly accused me of deliberatley going to the one till that the offer wasnt working on and said he will refund and resell because it isnt his fault.

    not mine either love

    I quite agree.

I've been tescoing for many many years now and do very well out of it, yet I've never had a ban, never been warned, never had clubcard points removed, and have only felt the need to call HO once in all that time. That was recently and was more to do with the snotty attitude of the CS lady and compliance manager than the actual refusal of the refund. If they'd actually been nice about it, I'd have just left it and gone to another store for the refund instead.

I think picking your battles is just as important when tescoing as any particular glitch or voucher.

Watch me get a store ban tomorrow for being a clever clogs! :D:D:D
