I really love the BS about the SEL being CLEARLY ood.......the dates are usually so tiny you need a magnifying glass to see them.
this is so true , our Denby was on the bottom shelf and I had to get down on my hand and knees and stare at the SEL to see the date , other shoppers and staff walked past me and must have wondered what i was up to ...
the excuse of clearly marked wouldn't hold any water .I was young once , now I get older all the time .0 -

not mine either love
Oh thats pathetic. If he knew there was an issue with a till he should have closed the till, or removed the SEL's showing the offer.
Again its just laziness on behalf of the Tesco staff....it was far ewasier for him to try to put the onus on you for effectively beign overcharged rather than actually show some initiative himself.
I wonder how much he earns for such incompetence? I bet he gets more than JSA and expenses.....not that he deserves it!0 -
lol we did that too!!! last august on the way home after a month in france, trying to find the place to go for cheap booze lol

Lovecrafting, was it ordinary coke or diet, if you dont mind me asking, and also why were CS refusing the DTD? Its definitely on offer (just checked on the website) so SEL will have the offer showing too. So I can't see wht they were refusing a DTD
At 99p a bottle its a good deal (I never buy it full price!) but free coke must taste even better:D
Edit, just seen your responses above...so certain tills work differently? How on earth are we supposed to know that!0 -

the excuse of clearly marked wouldn't hold any water .
A CS person attempted to get out of DTD the other day by saying the product shouldn't be on the shelf as it had a star on the (white) SEL and was discontinued.
Its frightening that tesco's own staff know so little about how their own company works!
Long may it continue though....0 -
it was normal coke, yes it was definatley on offer and was in the middle of the floor on a display that says b2g2f. they refused the dtd because i aparently knew it wouldnt come off at the till.. no if i had have known i would have brought more than i did.0

Note to self - any glitch in future on Weight Watchers meals, leave well alone! Thankfully just finished the last 2 out of the freezer OMG they are rank:eek: how they justify charging nearly £2 each for half a potato,a slice of carrot and the "meat" from half a chicken wing in some gloopy sauce:eek: gag. How they are supposed to be a whole meal is beyond me, they wouldn't fill up a baby mouse.
I paid £1 for 8 after using a £3 coupon and I feel ripped off.:D:D
I totally agree with you. I bought 8 & 4 left in freezer. Had 2 of the chili with potato wedges had to add seasoning. Then added grated cheese but was still tasteless! And as for the fish pie well couldn't even finish it. Was awful with little lumps of fish & carrot:eek: in watery white "sauce" Won't buy them again even if 1p. I suppose they are designed to put you off eating altogether hence losing the weight. Just makes me want to pig out on something else.:(0
