  • Popped into my local Extra today. Went to grab a basket and saw a lovely long receipt sitting tantalisingly quite a few baskets down. Hastily dug around to remove the baskets on top and swiped the receipt and stuffed it into my pocket feeling really pleased with myself.

Got home and went to put the details into the price check and found that the bloomin' receipt was from and Express store (which don't compare for price match purposes) - and there isn't an Express within about 5 miles of the Extra store.

Bet the blinkin' CS assistants saw me coming and planted it there.:D

Oh how they and the security guards must have laughed...:rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl:that's how I feel sometimes if I find a sainsburys receipts in the Tesco carpark! or one with a staff discount on:eek:

    there watching me!:D

  • Evening all, just nipping in quick and will catch up properly tomorrow but so annoyed with myself. Went to T's tonight and picked up a few bits and some nice whoopsie flowers. Got myself 4 bottles of comfort, used 4 vouchers and then left the flipping comfort at the till:mad::mad::mad:Phoned the store when I got home, they didnt answer so went through to CS services. They couldnt get hold of the store either, it rings a few times then goes back to them. They said try again in the morning but I think think the chances of getting them back are pretty remote. It was only £1 but it's the principal, I was so chuffed at getting no grief with the SA:(Never mind I'll just have to make it up tomorrow;)
    Night night everyone,
    Night night Happy my little:A

  • Hi! Its been ages since i posted on one of these tesco threads!

This may sound a lame question but...
I found a 10p off each litre of petrol voucher lurking in a basket 2day in my local Tesco today and was wondering if I was to use this would I need a till receipt to go with it??-as the t&c's dont exactly state this!

    http://www.tesco.com/petrol-promotion/

Because when Morrisons do their '6p' off promo on petrol you need a till receipt to go with the voucher, but the Tesco one says nothing

oh, thanks bookworm didnt know that :)

No problem - I've got rid of loads of stuff this way. Sometimes it's not worth the hassle of ebaying, and anyway it always feels good to help someone out.

If you find something of interest, send them a nice email and make sure you let them know your situation. Some people just offer to the first person who asks, but many will offer based on the info in the email. I gave loads of stuff to a young girl just starting off in her own home - curtains, towels, bedding, even a portable TV, and a microwave went to a local toddler group (wish I hadn't now though as mine has just given up on me :()

Bear in mind that there will probably be quite a few people asking for things though so you won't always be successful, and people will want things picked up fairly quickly so you will need to get transport.

You'll be fine - you don't need a receipt, just the 10p off coupon.
