    so this is verbal bullying?

bearing in mind you chose to pick me out, and attack me

I'm sorry, I must have mis-read the bit in my post that stated you were bullying.......I think you'll see that no names were mentioned at all.

I think you'll also find my initial posts weren't directed at you, I was quoting someone else.

well you yourself said your contribution on this thread was against verbal bullying
your reply to my suggestion of eBaying was
Do you just post for the sake of posting?

so you tell me,what was the point of your post to a perfectly constructive post?
rather ironic given the virtuous pedestal you seem to have built for yourself.
  • I cannot believe the horrible, nasty, personal posts some people write. why should anyone have to justify how they spend their income to someone else?
Many people including myself work, both myself and my partner work and what we earn barely covers what we have to pay out. any drop in our income will affect us. Everything is going up except wages which have not changed in years. The standard of living for ordinary working people is dropping year on year. Ordinary working people did not cause this problem it was caused by the greed of the few and those few are not paying the price - ordinary people are! Its no coincidence that sales of luxury goods are rising - why? because those with the power have got us where they want us scared and subserveant, worried about the stability of our jobs and the cost of living, prepared to do more for less. This government is no friend of ordinary people. Its doing nothing to help us - its sucking us all dry. Yesterday we are told we are in danger of being downgraded that we look set to go into recession again but Georges answer is still to cut cut cut!
Take away Tax credits from us if you want. But make sure you are compensating us elsewhere. Never mind no tax on wages under 10K lets make it a realistic figure of no tax on earnings under 20K. Let those who have more pay more ,Stop the real theives and scroungers who hide their money offshore from being able to do so.
Yes the benefits system does need overhauling but we need to remember the principle behind it. A safety net for all.
As a society we need to work to protect our vulnerable people and ensure ALL our children receive good nutrition, clothing and education. Sometimes those that can afford to pay themselves get something for free - better this than those who cant afford going without.
Everyone needs to look at the bigger picture - do we really want to return to the past? was life in Britain for ordinary people better before the welfare state? I think not!

Your post was pointless - at no point did the OP say she needed extra money, she was stating her unhappiness that her Tax Credits were stopping and the fact that the money she received from Tax Credits were at the moment being used, in conjunction with her other HH income for buying certain things.

If the OP doesnt need the money, then theres no point in the thread.thus it proves the point of the cap.
however if the OP does need the oney, its a relevant suggestion
given the OP has thanked you,it seems she doesn't need the money

The OP could have chosen to use this meagre amount of money to save towards her daughters university expenses. Something those in Scotland get for free. :naughty:

Perhaps it would be fairer if ONLY Scottish residents lost this money. After all they get extra benefits those in England do not, yet we contribute towards.

Yes this is somewhat trite, but £10 per week is still £10 lost.

I was thanking the OP because they summed up my feelings exactly, and it's none of your business if I 'need' the money is it?

while that is true you are answering a point that wasnt made.
I never used the quantifier of "all" or "everyone" at all therefore your post has become a bit pointless.

I think you implied everyone in your post actually

I wished I had had that luxury, however it would be far short of the £27K needed for the course alone, you're very lucky in Scotland.;)
