Well done on the kindle..more fab news
On another note what EE says about ruining your credit rating by offering full and final is true and not worth it if you've never missed any payments as you never know if you'll need a good credit rating in the future for a job or business venture0 -
Nice one on your kindle win. Congratulations.
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

More exciting news :T I've won a kindle :j:j:j and a leather cover for it :T:T
Now the plan was that anything I won in a competition was going to be sold on eb@y *but* I've wanted a kindle for ages [note the want not need] I was going to treat myself when I was debt free, a kindle and a kitchen aid mixer
So I'm keeping it for me! I'm not justifying it, it's going to be mine! There are so many free books available too. I spent a happy hour or two choosing books and charging the kindle up.
Yesterday was a long boring day at the coffee shop, very quiet on the customer front all the standing about made me very stiff and tired, not to mention fatter [it was so slow there were chocolate croissants for the eating, guess who ate them?]
Today is gardening day, hope the forecast rain holds off...
Well Done :T I won a kindle last year and its great, I only download free books and have hundreds on it now, Im sure you will enjoy using it.0 -
Hi Piq, Congrats on the kindle win, they are really good I have loads of freebies on mine too.0

Woohoo! Piq, you're on a roll, long may it continue!!Wow - a free kindle - fantastic, Piq!
Jaybee's right - could well be worth you buying a lottery ticket this week!Yay to winning a Kindle, great news, two lovely things, I hope that you get a fantastic "third time lucky" win too.:j
I don't think 'deliberate' luck is on the cards. I bought a lottery ticket for last night's draw and it didn't work. I think it is the unexpected luck. Anyway, I don't need a third piece of luck the first two are more than enough.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

After a really hot day when I was stuck in the coffee shop with no customers I am due to go gardening when the forecast says torrential rain. Certainly the weather is giving an all out show of everything it can do in as short a time as possible. I'm going to get moving and start early today.
I sent of the acceptance form for the back-dated ppi, funny how I managed that piece of paperwork yet have a filing and to-do pile a mile highIf I get back early because of the weather I will make a start on some of it.
Naturally I've downloaded a couple of free books for the kindle. It's amazing, for the first time ever I can lie in bed and read. It's so light it doesn't make your wrists ache holding it and you only need one hand! A simple tap of the thumb turns the page. Best of all, the palaver of marking the page, chucking pillows round and turning of the light when you feel sleepy, thereby waking yourself up again doesn't happen. Just shut the cover and close your eyes
Best bring in the washing, maybe it dried overnight, have some breakfast and get gardening before the rain....
See you all later.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
