nto a garden centre to buy some hooped tomato supports. The first nursery didn't have any but the second did. I was chatting to the lad behind the counter about putting my tomatoes in bags and was just about to ask about a bag of compost when the man standing nearby dropped chocolate bars all over the floor and over me! I never mind having chocolate thrown at me :DHe apologised profusely and said that he didn't see me for a moment. I gave the standard answer of me being at that time of a woman's life when she is completely invisible unless very rich:rotfl:He said he couldn't believe he hadn't seen me and boy was he seeing me now!
The lad behind the counter was laughing and told him to put his eyes back in and that I was a favourite customer as I was a gardener and great fun. Said man said we were a partnership made in heaven as he was a hard landscaper. He insisted on giving me his card and taking my number as some of his customers needed a gardener and if all else failed he could take me out for a glass of wine.......;)
Forgot to buy the compost and tomato supports:o Was a bit flustered
As my 4yo DD says "Wowzers!" :j
Were you wearing the new jeans?
Also, I'm chuckling at the suggestion that he was a 'hard' landscaper - (sorry, I have a filthy mind)
