It was grass stains, goodness only knows what he was doing, most of it is off now, he just has a faintly green nose. Very fetching!
Goodness what on earth was he doing, don't think any of our cats have turned green - very odd even of it does suit him :rotfl:
Mr A comes in covered in burrs and seed pods which get embedded in his very long fur . He is never impressed when I pick them off him, I'm always worried he'll eat them when he grooms and they might be dodgy for his tum. He has a new interloper in his territory and has been fightingso needed a vet visit last week - 2 bite holes in his ear - ouch, that was the only damage except to our bank account. I wondered about getting earrings for his newly pierced ears but decided against :rotfl:
Hope you enjoyed the beetle drive and the new jeans sound great - well done on the size drop . Take care of your back with all that gardening!!0 -

I will - thank you! He does look a bit smug, he's still pale green. I wonder if a green cat with no ribs is worth anything on £bay....Goodness what on earth was he doing, don't think any of our cats have turned green - very odd even of it does suit him :rotfl:

Poor Mr A  That is always a problem with cats. I think Colin just sits on any interlopers and squashes them flat. Get Mr A a diamond [zircona] stud, he can be a pirate cat! I always have threatened the Captain with an earring, being as he has the long hair and is a horsy version of Captain Jack Sparrow!

My memory is appalling! I meant to tell you all that when I got home from my shift at the coffee shop I found my drive had been re-graveled :j:jFor a long time it has been bald and tatty looking. Whilst I was at work DS3 and a friend got about 20 bags of gravel and laid and raked them into the drive. Apparently Colin was not a lot of help....and ended up being shut in the house until they had finished :rotfl:DS3 won't take any money, he was just pleased to have done it for me!
As I was taking mum to the beetle drive I thought I'd better clean the inside of my car, being as it was a cross between a stable and a wheelbarrow. Took quite a whileIt did cross my mind to take it to the people that do these things
but I saved myself £12 and did it myself and gave it a healthy wafting of f£breeze! All clean and sparkly now, actually looks really nice
Wow, beetle drives are a cut-throat business, lots of more mature citizens playing dice to build a beetle, heaven help you if you hold things up! I was very grateful for the break midway through for a cup of tea:rotfl: Mum loved it and wants to do it again. As it only cost £2 for the both of us I think we might be making it a monthly thing. Not sure it's really my bag, but she loved it and what's a few hours out of my boring life to make her happy?
Washing is already out on the line, next load happily churning away. I've had to cut back a rambling rose as it's rambling into the washing line, vicious beast too. It's supposed to be growing over the arbour but is making a rampant getaway  Thousands and thousands of buds all over it, will be magnificent in a week or so.
Today is mainly about tomatoes, cucumbers, chillies and pumpkins. They will all be planted, staked and anything else they need.
Bread is in the breadmaker to accompany asparagus and courgette salad for lunch, no idea what's for dinner. I'm running out of fresh vegetables, three tomatoes and nothing else, so I may have to hit the supermarketPerhaps I should do it now before I am dirty....

Best win so far - holiday to Florida0 -
Yesterday I had an almost perfect moment. I sat out in the garden with just the bees buzzing, birds singing, cat scrounging and ate a simple salad with freshly made warm bread and a glass of chilled wine. Life doesn't get much better than that!
Tomatoes are all planted out in hessian shopping bags, looks great as well as putting the bags to a good use! I ran out of compost so still have two chilli plants to pot up. I'll pick up a bag on my next trip to the supermarket. Why I didn't pick one up when I was there doing the weekly shop - goodness knows!
I spent a little bit more than I should have at the supermarket, when did avocados get so expensive? I really had a craving for one and caved in and bought four:o
Other than all that not a lot else to report. Today is a coffee shop stint, who knows what craziness, politics or plain meaness will abound.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
