I'd never have started if it wasn't for the support and suggestions that I get here. Astonishing and humbling! By the way, your geraniums are now huge and doing well in their second year. I'll post some pictures when they come back into flower.

    Hi Piq
So nice to read a diary with positive stuff going on and loads of ideas a bit bereft of these in my life ATM so borrowing some positive energy from here - you are a busy lady. Hoping the god fortune continues, and perhaps the waterproofs are needed sooner rather than later!
    Speak soon x x

Ah yes, waterproofs, becoming a necessity with the weather! Sorry things are down for you and doglet. I hope it all gets better soon.

*delurk* Only really have time to lurk these days..........

I use the old stems from my fennel ,lovage and angelica plants - cut them down at end of summer an dry out in green house. Cut to 25-30cm inch lengths then bundle up so they make a bundle about 10cm in diameter and tie up with garden twine in 2/3 places then put into crevices in walls and in trees and shrubs - I have a lot a bees in my garden but dont know if its all down to these little bee shelters but I have seen bees using them. My class of 5 year olds like making them too and we put them in pour little garden at school - head hates them - quotes H&S to me very time.............just makes me want to do more

As long as you delurk sometimes!

I've got fennel and lovage I could make bee stops too :T Clever idea, thank you!

    :o:o:o:obut I'm so boring!

Now that taxi, she's the girl to follow, a brave and inspiring woman!

Sorry you're still in hospital, it's been quite a while now, I'm sure it's the best place for you at the moment, but not the happiest unfortunately. I really hope you are well on the way to recovery and can go home soon.

How well I remember the smell of teenage boys armpits :eek:_pale_:shocked:_pale_:eek: They do grow out of it, but mine never grew into cleaning the bathroom after themselves...

Info on waterproofs is much appreciated, thank you!

I forgot to 'fess up to spending yesterday. Odd how that can slip your mind ;)

I used my new friend from the coffee shop and the discount she offered me and bought some new jeans that actually fit :D I need jeans for both the coffee shop and gardening so not a frivolous spend and it will be nice to be able to bend over without worrying that I am doing a builder impression

Again it's wet, not actually raining so I will be off to garden shortly. I'll be treating myself to a hot bath on my return rather than a shower. I will deserve it!

    Yah for MsE new jeans
Do coffee shop ones now become gardening ones or painting ones? Would be tempted to use jogging bottoms for gardening in? Might be cheaper if they are getting covered in mud regularly?

...and here is what I was greeted with yesterday when I returned from a wet and muddy gardening day.

A green nosed cat:eek: What you can't see is his green legs and green chin. It's hard to ignore the fact he is lying on my cream bedding and thereby transferring his green to the duvet cover.

Cat's don't like having their faces washed....
