Morning
Your garden looks fab, need to get out and tidy mine up, its somewhat neglected, have runner beans ready to plant, my strawberries look ok, but lots of weed and grass is about 1ft long, oops. Will get out there in next few days and enjoy the nice weather
Morning BB
Cut the grass and see what's left, doesn't look so bad once that's done. I'm lucky to have a very sunny sheltered corner for the herbs and some of the vegetables. It keeps very warm in the summer. When I come home in the afternoon or evening the scent from the oils in herbs is fantastic. I have an chair out there, just to sit and enjoy the various aromas of herbsAlthough usually there's a cat sitting on it rather than me, it was the Bear's favourite place to watch his kingdom

I bought the avocados at the outrageous price
I really wanted one in my salad. I don't regret it, 'twas delicious!
I like 'em mashed with grated G#uyère and a drop of Tab@asco; put the mix back in the skins and stick under the grill until the cheese bubbles - yummy!
(Daft Dogs collect so many windfalls in season that I've had to get creative to use 'em up).
Clever to borrow the supermarket lad, hope you put him back when you'd finished with him.....I did the same at H0mebase not so long ago, then filled in the survey and gave him top marks for helpfulness. I hope he got a small bonus for it.
"The Lad" is employed to carry shopping home for old ladies, which is a rather nice tradition. It's not uncommon to find full trolleys just inside the supermarket door, waiting for The Lad to box everything up and deliver it - so yes, I put him back.
Here are a couple of the hessian bags in the herb garden. I need to get a few more of the curved bamboo stakes as last years have broken/rotted. I prefer the curved ones as I am less likely to do myself injury when picking herbs or going to the compost bin :rotfl:

..Gorgeous pic!Thank you, I understand now.. Unfortunately, don't think this method would work at the Nest as the soil could over-heat - have enough problems with plastic pots - but really like the mobile aspect of your solution, Piq.

A most interesting of days.
I did meet up with my friend who I haven't seen for so long. I sent the text saying that I understand if half term gets in the way, we can rearrange but she sent back a text saying how much she was looking forward to seeing me and why didn't we go to a beer garden instead:TWho am I to refuse such an excellent suggestion? And she bought me lunch too :T Spent a happy few hours chatting before making my way back home.
Decided on the way to call into a garden centre to buy some hooped tomato supports. The first nursery didn't have any but the second did. I was chatting to the lad behind the counter about putting my tomatoes in bags and was just about to ask about a bag of compost when the man standing nearby dropped chocolate bars all over the floor and over me! I never mind having chocolate thrown at me :DHe apologised profusely and said that he didn't see me for a moment. I gave the standard answer of me being at that time of a woman's life when she is completely invisible unless very rich:rotfl:He said he couldn't believe he hadn't seen me and boy was he seeing me now!
The lad behind the counter was laughing and told him to put his eyes back in and that I was a favourite customer as I was a gardener and great fun. Said man said we were a partnership made in heaven as he was a hard landscaper. He insisted on giving me his card and taking my number as some of his customers needed a gardener and if all else failed he could take me out for a glass of wine.......;)
