Honestly, what are you lot on? :p

Piq has met a possible business contact who may well be a nice bloke up for a new friendship..

We don't know if he's got a partner and family [do we?] - he may just be hoping for a cheap gardener he can make money from..
The only obvious things are that he's clumsy - if he drops chocolate I for one would stand well back when he's manipulating a JCB - and he's got a good line in chat, which might turn out to be flannel.

So ladies please, take it slowly. ;)

    G'day Piq

What an interesting time you've been having from finding perfect jeans to an hard landscaper *giggles like a school girl*.

To continue with Fortune Smiles list - you are a great story teller, a great listener and enjoys getting to know people.

You really do seem to be enjoying life at the moment and may it continue.

  • You lot need a cold shower! Haha! Piq my lovely the one thing you dont need is to put yourself down- you have loads going for you. And whatever the dealings may be whether or not they are purely business they are made better if the other party is easy on the eye.

I know you wont have your head turned by a pretty face, charge the going rate plus 5% and tell him you will haggle!

Over a glass of wine, if hes single... if not over a glass of wine with his missus...

Well I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It might not come to anything but I think love finds you when you're ready - whether you're looking for it or not. But if not love... a little flirting over the tomato canes or a glass of wine is always nice :)

:rotfl:I definitely am a romantic. I kissed a lot of frogs before meeting Mr F when I was 38 but I never gave up hope of finding my soul mate.

I don't think many of us are super models but we've all got attributes and talents we can be proud off. I think you should start writing down a list of all the things that are good about Piq (on-line or off-line). I challenge you to think of 10 things in the next 24 hours. Here's a couple to start you off; Piq is talented, determined and modest. Please note 'nothing to write home about' doesn't feature :)

I'll start on the thinking of ten things, it probably would help with self confidence if nothing else :D

What are you lot like! :rotfl:I'm not looking for romance, just surviving on a day to day basis is enough for now. If I could have any male of my choice, I'd have the Captain back around the corner :D

Missed out posting yesterday. I was absolutely exhausted. Too much sun whilst gardening I think and that was despite wearing a sunhat and shirt to protect the back of my neck and shoulders. I was dripping with sweat and continually fantasizing about a shower :rotfl:I did a few chores when I got in, namely bringing in the washing, watering the pots and a quick vacuum. Then had to sit down for the rest of the evening and, of course, fell asleep in front of the television :o

However, I did pick up the most enormous terracotta pot for nothing, it was full of weeds and out for the binmen  So I knocked on the door and asked if I could have it :D Luckily I had my gardening tools on me as I had to empty it out to be able to get it into the car, very heavy! I dragged it to the garden on an old curtain that I keep for decorating [don't do much decorating these days - lack of funds] and it is going to be perfect for my Z!phirine Drouhin :TAll I need to get is lots more compost. I will be using a lot of my home made compost, but the pot is so big I won't have enough.

I'm going to put it near the garden table and chairs as the rose is very scented and thornless to boot. I may just add some lavender to the pot as well. It will be a scented bee paradise.

Today is coffee shop hell, the hellcow will be on. I will plaster my serene smile to my face and add up the minutes. My friend told me that we earned about 12p a minute. So I will use that equation. Five minutes of listening to hellcow rant equals a chocolate bar. If I can put up an hour of her foul mouthed tirades I will have earned a bottle of wine....

Good luck with the hellcow today ...
Re: big pots. I fill the bottom half of these with those blocks of white polystyrene, randomly chucked in, the kind you get round new stuff (remember new stuff?! Me neither!), the chunkier the better (the skinny stuff does tend to break up into irritating little pieces) . It's inert, light, and takes up the room much cheaper than loads of potting compost. Suppose it does a bit of insulating, too. You could always put them mainly round the sides so any tap-rooted type of plant would still have plenty of room to grow down into. Hope this makes sense, think I need more coffee.... x
