Lol, internet buy! Glad that Captain hasn't got cushings, pergolide can work out quite expensive. I haven't had blood tests on him yet, but I believe that my hairy cob (Bertie) has got equine metabolic syndrome, no known treatment for this, I just need to get his weight down and ride him more - easier said than done. The youngest (Dudley) is for my eldest daughter and his sire is Mill Law so we have high hopes for him as an event horse - if he can start to show some self preservation! The last one is my youngest daughter's Fell pony (Billy), he has chronic sweet-itch and is on steroids all summer just to keep him from rubbing himself until he bleeds. Oh the joys of nags!
I hope your evening is a great success!

I think I may be a block of wood.
For the first time in so many years I had a date for Valentines Day. The man pet took me to the most expensive restaurant, apparently the Beckhams eat there, well he does anyway not sure if she eats much! It cost a fortune, I hated it and I feel really bad about hating it.
Bless man pet, he bought me a crystal horse, and a tasteless card. All I did was make him some chocolate dipped shortbread hearts, DS3 turned up with replacement jug and chocolate). Hopefully, this link takes you to a picture of them, I thought they looked quite nice.
The food was okay, but to be honest, not spectacular, definitely not for the price or the limited menu. Poor man pet kept asking me if I was okay and I tried to be, I really did, but it was all wrong!
I feel really bad about it.
I need to move onto other things and not keep thinking about it.
Today I received a payment from Amazon for 51.38, it will go against a credit card at the end of the month. I am also about to update my signature the total is gradually falling! Hurrah!
I seem to be the only person in the street to have put their recycling out, yes, I’ve been nosing out the window to see what the neighbours are doing and they’re not doing their recycling….I wonder if I’ve got the wrong day….
There are still no jobs to apply for and no responses from those that I have applied for. The only feedback I’ve had is that I’m too experienced and it’s off-putting to take on someone who knows more than you. Am I supposed to dumb down my CV?

Thank you Boris! Wouldn't it be nice if I hadn't owed it and had to put towards something sensible.....Hindsight. A wonderful thing!

Hello Noo!
Your horses sound lovely. I used to have a cob called Bertie, he was the most laid back horse ever, I think they based the character of Dylan from the Magic Roundabout on him!
I'm trying to get my weight down, not very successfully, mind. The Captain always gives a huge sigh as I get on. Fairly sure it means ' oh deep joy, here's fatty...'
The Captain has very sensitive skin and has to be protected all summer, he goes out into the field wearing an all over fly net and mask, he looks a little like Darth Vader. The first time I put him out in his fetching little outfit, all the other horses ran away :rotfl::rotfl: He was very upset and kept running after them, obviously making them run away all the faster!

Oh Baldy, he is hilarious, he has a look about him sometimes, that makes me wonder just how much he understands. One of his favourite tricks is to wait until I'm facing the other way and to then gently headbutt my bottom. Then to quickly step back so it couldn't have possibly been him as he is too far away! This game can go on for quite a while. Like a small child he never gets tired of it.

Hello Goochie - I remember you! Hope you are well, all the reasons for my disappearance are in the opening post. I plan to stay this time though. I'd never been made redundant before and it hit harder than I could ever imagined. Strangely, it's not the lack of a payday that caused the problem, it was the emotional trauma and shame. However, I'm dealing with that now and moving on with my life.
Please stay around, it's so lovely to find all my all friends are still around.

I am subscribed! Redundancy is awful, it's happened to me 3 times in 25 years working! Here's hoping the job of your dreams is just around the corner.0 -
Ah Lemon Tree, don't I just know I've found a goodun! I'm probably a bit odd preferring to receive Whiskas rather than chocolates but as my Mum would say 'it takes all types'
Your avatar cat looks adorable, my cat called the Bear is also a tabby, although he is huge. I have to keep telling people that he is tall, not fat. It does seem, however, that the catflap has shrunk a little in the snow, recently,he seems to have quite a squeeze to get through...

my avatar is my ole boy cat who's no longer with us, he was also called Ted E Bear, how strange is that. He was a big ole thing as well. I have two girls now, one who is twice the size of the other but i keep having to have words with OH or my mum if they try and mention her size cos it will give her a complex and i can't be doing with a cat with a complex lol0 -
Ah Lovely Lemons, I also have to keep asking folk not to mention his size, he doesn't need a complex either. However, his tallness does make the ceiling in the living room quake when he jumps off the bed upstairs
He makes a wonderful omphfff noise as he lands!
I asked the vet at his last check up if [whispers] he was a tiny bit overweight. She said no, he was just a big boy, he was wound round her at the time, purring shamelessly and acting like a complete tart! So I know she was being completely objective in her medical opinion.
