I got it back in the Autumn from Lidl for £19.99, someone here told me they were on sale. It has paid for itself several times over already!
Thanks. xx

On the occasion the Captain escaped and went walkabout and left a huge steaming pooh on the owners doorstep

Both my sisters are being a bit mean to my mum at the moment. Sister 2 has told mum that she wants to cut family ties as she has enough family with her OH's family?? I think she will regret that decision in years to come.
We all had a lovely time shopping and managed to find mum not one outfit but three :T she looks lovely in all of them. One is in a beautiful bluebell colour. Dad happily bought them for her and insisted on buying me a pink shirt I had been looking at. He said if I didn't accept it, he would go and buy it anyway in whatever size he thought I was!
I haven't done anything else, truth be told I am still wiped out from the emotional roller-coaster of the last week or so. However, I will apply for jobs after dinner and look into reducing my phone tariff tomorrow before work.
On thinking about it taxi, I think it was you and Lucielle that came up with the heated throw, so thank you!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Yes, that was one of his more glorious moments. He also ate all the carrots in the pile of breakfasts for the other horses and kicked over the dustbins. That was all in one evening....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Oh how lovely that the curmugenly (how the hell you spell it?) old yard owner recognised a kindred spirit in Old Captain, what a weight off your mind that must be. I'm sorry if my post the other day came across as a bit 'full on'....that's me all over, however it is testament to how much I care about you as it's usually my beloved adult children who chastise me for getting all carried away with myself when I try to help them!
I totally understand that you feel that you have paid so much of the debt without resorting to a dmp, however that was when you had a ft job and disposable income, and as I understand it, you will still pay the debt off, however at least this way you are in with a chance as the creditors suspend interest. If you look at it another way, you will have paid FAR more than 10k already in interest thus far so they are in front now iyswim.
Onwards and upwards, dear Piq. I am so happy and relieved that your old Lad is being taken care of and your young Lad is taking care of you (how very, very thoughtful of your DS) As for Colin - well, he seems to take care of himself very well by all accounts.
