once I bought what i thought were 10 bananas online and it was 10 bags of 5. To this day everyone who knows me who sees a banana sings Ba,na,na,NA!

Well, my little banananananana* friend.....I can hardly commented bearing in mind how many bananas I get from work!

    * banana - an easy word to spell, but difficult to know when to stop spelling it.

Hope you are feeling ok P, there are some nasty bugs out there at the mo. I am now on antibiotics to get rid of my lurgey. But I left it and left it - so take care and if it dont come right - go to the doctors.

Old chap is not entertaining the snow this year. Last year he would make snow angels but now he just stands at the gate calling to me so I caved in and he is in today. I hear tomorrow is the massive onslaught of snow too  Girls are not too bothered but I do worry about their water being frozen and we are not allowed to put hay in field but they are coming in at night to nice food and beds.

hope Captain is ok and Colin too - what does Colin think of the snow?

    Keep warm x

Colin likes the snow, he makes cat angels in it, he doesn't stay out for long though and sits with his face pressed to the window waiting to come back in.

The Captain is fine, he got kicked today for having a sniff of a mare's bottom  When this particular mare is in the mood she can't show enough of her bottom to him. However, today she wasn't in that mood and being a simple soul he didn't read the body language :rotfl:He had a thick rug on and is absolutely fine, but probably a little confused at the moods of a mare!

True Snagggles could confirm but she's not been on since the 14th. I thought beanielou might be able to confirm as she 'knows' Snaggles.
Ps the new one has three 'g's', the previous one had the two.

I notice she only popped in the once, threw us into confusion and ran away :rotfl:She'll fit in so well :T
    Hi Piq,

Can I join in your diary?.

Sorry to hear you are not well and hooray to the kind bloke at the Park and Ride. Restores your faith in human nature does'nt it.

    Take care
    StressedSteph

Hello Steph :) Of course you can join, the more the merrier!

Yes, a really kind man, saved me from being extraordinarily late for work. I use the park and ride as it costs £2.50 as opposed to town parking which would work out at about £8.00 - quite a difference. It saves on fuel too as it is not so far to drive.

Alioops - Sorry to hear the sad news about your Grandma, I'm sure you will miss her loads. And incidentally, there is nothing lowly about you, administrators are very important!

I've had a text from work saying if the weather is bad tomorrow not to struggle in but take it as holiday. I've looked at the weather forecast and any snow we're getting isn't arriving until later tomorrow morning, so I won't be able to make a decision, quandary.....If I had an unexpected day off I could catch up on job applications, admin and housework. Guess I'll just have to wait and see if we get snow or not, to be honest, the last lot of snow was a bit of an anti-climax.

Found a pack of parsnips in the fridge that I'd forgotten about, I think a spicy parsnip soup might be in the making. Tonight I used up a small amount of ricotta and frozen spinach and made a single portion of cannelloni, 'twas most yum!

As previously reported the Captain got kicked for being too familiar with a lady. Luckily he didn't need the vet, but having trotted him up there is no sign of lameness or pain, just a dented ego.

Also Colin has loved the hot water bottle too much and it has sprung a slow leak, I wasn't sure at first which of the two of us had wet the bed, it turns out Colin was responsible. He marches up and down on it in ecstasy when he thinks I'm not looking and punctured it:( I'm going to have a root around in the cupboard I'm fairly sure there's another one in there.

No, not yet. But I'm not confident, I don't think I did that well.

Piq - best of luck on the job news and the snow. I love Colin's attitude ... maybe a microwave beanie toy (not real beanie) from the charity shop would be better than a bottle!

Hope the snow doesn't cause too much disruption for you getting to work. Just be careful about getting back from it if you get in. Glad Captain is OK (ego aside). Hope the mare gets over herself.
Colin made me laugh with the hot bottle. Hope you can get another one - £land or similar if you are in tomorrow.

  • Morning, Piq. If your snow is like our snow thsn stay where you are!! College (work) was shut so I made some of your banana muffins - big YUM! My cats don't like the snow when it's falling as heavily as it is at the moment. Andrew the Cat ( a very large tabby and white ) came in looking like a polar bear and the others are hiding!!The DS's and their mates are attempting to get a car up the road with very limited success having been playing in the snow for the last hour!!
    Keep warm, everyone!
