Really, really fancy beans on toast today. I think I might have some for breakfast. I have some slices of bread in the freezer that can go straight in the toaster.....

Oo now I want cheese and beans on toast, may have it for tea tomorrow night before I go and babysit.

    Hope you feel better soon.

  • Cheese and beans. Now that's a marriage made in heaven. Chuck a baked spud in and you've got perfection.

Piq - unless I'm very much mistaken, I think Snagggles is the same person as Snaggles. Perhaps Beanie may be able to confirm.

's okay, I'm not blaming you. It's just one of those things.

Thought I was due to start work at 11am then suddenly realised it was 10am I was due there:eek::eek::eek: Cue frantic de-icing of the car, quick wave of the mascara wand, chuck a bowl of cat food down and run.....straight into a traffic standstill  The icy conditions had caused several cars to park in the ditches. Made it to the park and ride, put my £2.50 in the machine to have it rejected as one of the pound coins was in fact a euro  I only had what I thought was the correct money....Cue jobsworth supervisor, who told me I couldn't pay by card and I should be more careful with my money. At this point he was nearly a dead supervisor! I did say it was an accident, I didn't know I had been given a euro in my change and I wouldn't have attempted to fraudulently buy a ticket. There was no reasoning with him  Then one of his colleagues told him he was a f*ckwit and gave me £1, saying I could pay it back to him next time I used the bus. I nearly kissed him, but I had to get on the bus!

Sniffed and sneezed my way through work, then bought a bar of chocolate, hit the cashpoint, changed the £10 into coins and went and repaid my hero with his £1 and choccie, no kiss - I'd gone off the idea by then :D

I'm now tucked up with colin, a box of tissues and a camomile tea. It is very cold outside indeed, the frost is already thick on the grass, I think it will get colder yet as the sky is clear and full of stars.

Oh by the way the beans on toast were heavenly. I think I will have the rest of the tin with cheese and a jacket potato for dinner tomorrow. I have never grown out of beans on toast, always in the top ten of favourite food!

    What's with the onions?

I em..... bought rather a lot :rotfl:. Only about 6 left though :). They're very good for colds if you would like some :D.

    Hope you're feeling better.

I did that once. I ordered what I thought were six onions to discover that I had, in fact, bought six packs of ten onions. There was a lot of French Onion soup to be had for quite a while :rotfl:

Skim reading has always been a fault of mine, but it has bought me endless hilarity as I have misconstrued what has been written.
