That's the situation I'm in. It's been a year now although I work part-time. I sometimes think I'd work at anything just to be in full time employment. I know how your OH feels

Oh no! Change channels! I think people must wonder if my car is a mobile karaoke machine, I have to sing loudly if there are gaps in the music just so I don't hear the noise...

I keep meaning to just use the music on my phone, I have no tapes so that bit is useless.

I'm just pleased he doesn't have to go through 6 months of full time volunteer work again. It was awful seeing him have to do that and having to jump through the job centre hoops, stupid New Deal.

I've bombed through the upstairs, changed the bed, polished and vacuumed. As it's Friday I've done the audit of the fridge and for tonight's Friday Fridge Fest I will make a quiche using up the butternut squash, watercress, eggs and Parmesan. The pastry is already chilling in the fridge, I used the last of the butter to make it. Leftover homemade minestrone soup for lunch

Second load of washing on, the first is on the heated dryer in the garage. Two more 99p items listed on £bay, two more saved for free listing at the weekend.

    One job to apply for...

Well done on the housework :)

The last comment just made me laugh out loud a lot, glad I'm the only one in my office right now.

That's the one thing I like about my flat, it's just off the street so we never get any people coming knocking, we don't get charity bags either which means I can just take the items to the shop of my choice and give them my details for gift aid too. Must have a sort tomorrow for things that really don't fit and I have no hope of ever getting in to.

Check out your signature young lady! Look at those digits! Awesome.

Haven't read your diary so excuse my ignorance. Look forward to being back in the ways of the MSE.

Stalk away! The Captain is still charging around like a three year old, regularly doing gymkhanas as a replacement pony for the young girl who looks after him for me when I'm working. Still claiming every mare as his and still being very opinionated....

    Arrrggg.....colin!

What did I do to deserve this cat?

Next door but one neighbour is a white witch, she celebrates nature and possibly other things. She is a little unusual, nothing to do with being a witch, just unusual. So I wave to her when passing, say hello, that sort of thing. Not really on a cup of tea and biscuit type of relationship.

Walking back from the dog pooh bin, having deposited Colin's stinky offering I saw her waving to me so did the cheery hello thing. She bustles out and says.....

....your new cat is eating all the food I put out for the hedgehogs...

'Oh sorry :o' says I, not really knowing what else to say.

'Not a problem' says she ' I've been putting down a second bowl for him, but he eats both his and the hedgehogs' food, do you feed him enough?'

I explained about Colin's diet and how he is already overweight and how he is down from six meals a day to two [or three]. She has agreed to only feed the hedgehogs after dark [thank goodness they hibernate soon] and not to feed colin.

I'm fully expecting the owner of the village shop to turn up with colin's tab for me to pay next.

I am never going to get this cat slimmed down.
