I'd intended clearing the leaves and some more of the garden, naturally it's raining... instead I've done some housework :A

I got given 19 bananas yesterday :) I gave 10 of them to the homeless guy, hope it doesn't upset his stomach and have frozen the rest for banana cakes. I'm going to make individual banana cake loaves for Christmas presents. All presents this year will be homemade food based.

My geranium cuttings have all rooted in water and I now have about 40 to pot up. If they make it through the winter I'll have a garden full next summer!

I applied online for a job thinking it would be a case of attaching cv and letter, but instead found I had to choose best and worst answers in a role play scenario  To be honest, I don't think I've a hope on this one as some of the choices weren't things I'd do at all. There was no option for putting what you'd actually do in the situation.

My car is making a funny noise, I have turned the radio up....

I'm still here and reading just not got a lot to say other than you do make me laugh by sharing your stories about Captain and Colin. Unfortunately I don't have any more husbandpet stories as he seems to be behaving himself lately. Might need to keep a closer eye on him lol

I haven't been out in the car today, but I will be looking out some louder music, bit of rock should mask the noise nicely!

Bit of a downer today. I spent ages writing a cover letter for a job I was quite interested in last week. This morning I got an automated 'thanks but no thanks' letter - due to the number of applicants we will not be giving individual feedback, please do not apply for any other roles for the next six months - and up yours too...

Mum and Dad popped over for morning coffee, I palmed banana cake off on them ;) Mum bought me a lipstick pink penstemon for the garden, I have just planted out in the pouring rain, won't need to water it in :D I took a couple of cuttings off it first, it's a bit late in the year, but it would be good to get a couple of extra plants.

I may go and do the food shop later, I need a few bits and pieces so might as well do the whole lot.

I've sent off my used printer cartridges, hopefully, that will earn me a few pennies. I've also listed a couple of items on e*bay, both starting at 99p. Hopefully, I'll get around to another couple tomorrow.

Not much else happening at the ranch today, so I'll go and nose round the other diaries :)

    Hi Piq

how annoying re the job application. Are you on linked in? It like a business profile thing. I have had employment agencies (well 2 of them) contact me after reading my profile (I am not looking and they are probably just nosey).

The weather is awful and I am midway up the country - I hear down south everywhere is flooded. I kept the old chap in today - its a fine line between keeping him moving for his arthritis and him being wet and cold with arthritis. He frets in the rain too. Yesterday was pacing and skidding up and down the fence line! No good for his fancy heart bar shoes! Poor little mare was clipped on the weekend so will probably be very grumpy at being out in this weather but she doesnt do being in too much. She is well rugged and I am sure she will survive.

I am on linked in. I have had agencies contact me through it. You can also see who's looked at your profile, it helps when you've sent your cv into a company to see that they look you up. Quite fed up about the job situation, there are very few jobs in my realm out there. At first glance it looks like there are plenty, but most of them are repeats or in the wrong sector.

The Captain is in his stable munching hay. He's now in at night, he gets very stiff if he stays out in the wet and cold. He's wearing a red and black checked rug that has faded to pink  Strangers to the yard have been known to comment at what a pretty girl he is...
