OMG I hope it doesn't come in the house
I'm sitting here worrying about it. I mean, what can I do to stop it? Nothing.
I've moved a few bits and pieces upstairs, just in case. According to the weather forecast it's supposed to stop raining by midnight to start again at 3am, then to continue all day tomorrow.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I have just remembered, I think the giant hedgehog in Monty P. was called Spiny Norman..... but I doubt if he could swim.0 -
Hang on in there Piq. The rain should start easing off now. If you haven't already done so - get as much upstairs (or on top of tables) as you can. Keeping my fingers cross for you.

I have a moat. No castle. A moat.
Thank goodness the water didn't reach the level of the doors. It came close, but it has now gone down quite a bit as the water flows into the drains. There is water to a level of about 2" all round and a small river leading to the drain.
More rain is forecast.
I had a sleepless night worrying about it as you can imagine. I'm still concerned. I've called the council about sandbags, but I'm not a priority as I'm fit and well, the cat being in shock doesn't count...Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
