Sorry you have been so poorly. Tonsilitis is a right pain in the neck. LOL.
Hope you are now on the mend. Even if you don't put the heating on high, could you have it on say 15 degrees just to keep the chill off?I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

I'm in the camp with the others. Please put your heating on as being so ill you may get pneumonia and what use will you be then. You can worry about the bill later but for now your main concern should be getting back to health.
Are the mouth ulcers caused by thrush from the antibiotics..if so you may need some nystatin drops from the DRs.Please try to conserve your energy for tasks that are needed as you sound really run down0 -
I agree with everyone else - having some warmth is so important if you're ill, so please please please put the heating on
Hope you're feeling okay today, and remember to rest as much as possible as your body needs time to heal xBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I dither about the heating not only because of the cost, but because the house is old the heating is an add-on. There is no thermostat control on the ancient radiators, some are big, some are little. The boiler ought to be on Antiques Roadshow it is so old! The heating is ineffective at best! Most of the windows are now double-glazed which has helped a lot.
I will put the heating on as soon as I start to feel cold - promise. I have been toying with the idea of a heated throw for use during the day when I'm writing or doing the long overdue admin:o That would save on heating during the day. Of course I can beat the cat in an arm wresting contest to get control of the throw.....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Mum and Dad are coming round for coffee and to see the cat....:rotfl:
Colin has gone out and is nowhere to be seen - typical!
I was about to start the admin - honestly, I wasn't just reading diaries...:o
I'll make some hobnobs and hope that the cat puts in an appearance:) After they've gone I'll crack on with paperwork, there's not as much as I thought, quite a bit of it is reminders..:oTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
