Hi Piq, sorry to hear about your ailments. Hope you are getting lots of help caring for the Captain too, horses are such physical hard work.
Well done on the bargain cat food, it's lovely when that happens. Also, do a tiny shop at Tesco if you can - it might get you the same till spit that they've just given me, for £2 off yet more Fairy Platinum dishwasher tablets. That, combined with one of the £3 trial vouchers which you probably still have, will make the pack of 30 FREE (as they're on half-price again for £5 at the minute).
There's always a queue to look after the Captain, he's very popular! I think it's gymkhana for him today. Not real gymkhana I hasten to add, but lots of cones, trot poles and buckets to hare around with an 11 year old, he loves it and can still beat the ponies. He's very well looked after, he's warmed up for half and hour then checked by the yard manager to make sure he's not too stiff. I think it's one of the things that keeps him young. The young lady is very responsible and takes her duties very seriously indeed, she even cleans his tack for me!
If I have enough energy after my shift I'll pop along to T3sco and pick up some more dishwasher tablets, thanks for that, most appreciated!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

What did they pay you in? Cash :eek::eek::eek::eek:
Shocking isn't it? A whole £95 and not a banana in sight!
Maybe you should delete this in case he reads it.
The Bear only looks mystic and wise, he actually can't read. Although he likes to rest a paw on any book I'm reading. I've tested him and he definitely can't read, he's a fraud!PinotGrigio41 wrote: »PLMBL what's going on with the whole thrusting banana thingy ?!
Piq , just catching up, I'm do sorry to hear you've been poorly with flu and a dodgy back. Poor you. I really hope you are on the mend soon. Ice and heat alternately as someone else mentioned does help. Many years ago in desperation I jumped from halfway down the stairs, as I landed there was a horrible crack from my back and I was right as rain ! Far cheaper than the chiropractor! Really makes me sound like a total nutter now doesn't it ?!
I will check in on you tomorrow and see how you are doing. DS sounds great doing a few jobs for you.
Granny not had a chance to read your tales of Merthyr properly, but where on earth do you find these things ?! :A
You're worried about thrusting bananas???? Did you miss the Veet for Men bit on the diary. I suggest you go back and find it, one of the funniest things to be read. And then of course, there's the 50 shades of grey shed [or similar] kindly donated by gally. Whilst you're recuperating you can burst any stitches with these wonders....and then you can go back to worrying about my bananas....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Not a huge amount to report on. I didn't have a NSD as I hit T£sco to get the dishwasher tablets that Mrs H had said were on half price offer. Used a couple of my £3 vouchers and got the equivalent of 30 tablets free:j Also picked up another two damaged boxes of cat food pouches for £1 each :j
I have a pile of stuff to ebay, loaded it on the dining table in the hope it annoys me into doing it!
Think I'll risk the weather and peg the washing out, towels and such like, haven't had much luck drying outside recently.
Another shift today. My body must be getting used to moving all the time as I haven't lost any weight this week. You don't need to look for llbs to avoid on the street. I'm going to have to move a bit faster. Actually, thinking about it, I've hardly moved this week because of my back so that will explain the weight stand-still.
Talking of my back, it's almost back to normal, just the odd twinge on bending, by tomorrow it'll be completely cured!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

We tried this too, and yesterday bagged up most of it for the charity shop as neither of us could face listing after it had been sat there for two months
Still, we've decluttered a bit

Hi Piq! I am glad you havn't left me any of your spare lbs this week.
It's quite windy here, so I was wondering if windy days give the Captain a bit of get up and go? My old horse used to be a right spaz on a windy day.. xxMortgage: £280,752/ £262,515.84

Hello, so pleased to hear that your back is returning to normal and I am sure that the lbs will be shedding when you return to cantering around - without being astride Captain that is!
Hope Pr3t manage to come up with some different fruit, perhaps you can suggest a stock change, reduce the banana concentration in favour of some other types and get a bit of variety!
Enjoy the weekend.Start info Dec11

Hi Piq et al
I hope the back/fluey thing is getting better!
I have been camp mum at Pony Club this week - I am now absolutely shattered - as are my two girls and the horse and pony. It was great, fully catered (amazing food) and as such have gained lots of llbs and lost lots of £s. It has been a right reality check tonight having to cook tea!
Anybody got any new funnies for us?!!!!!
Take care all, Noo0 -
time to admit i have been stalking you since the beginning, well i started late and read the lot.
How on earth did you move that debt.
What are your three top tips?
I have just started a diary and had my light bulb moment.
I love your horse, I used to ride and would love a horse...... maybe one day again....
