It's okay, I didn't pick a duster up [read torn up old tea-towel] You pick yourself up off the floor, nothing untoward has happened, the dust is safe...

The coffee shop at the garden centre just called and offered me Saturdays and Sundays 11 to 3 working!!!! I'm going for a trial run on Friday, the lady was worried it might be too much for me going in three days on the trot - bless!

....and I've been offered the job of blogging for a well known horse site!!! Don't know anymore details yet as I have to fill in a form.....but woohoo!!!!

....and an ex has started texting out of the blue, I don't need that sort of complication so I'll see what he wants then tell him to s*d off.

Don't tell me off, but I might not mention the coffee shop at my job centre gig tomorrow. I'll ask the question about how many hours/money earned etc and take it from there. I suspect I'll lose jsa even if the money earned is less than the amount they pay. I will research. I'd rather earn the jsa amount than have to go to that place anyway.

However, I'm not sure you're supposed to eat a cream donut without offering all the filling to Mr A!

Brilliant news on the work front - patchwork/portfolio life there you go!! Mix in a bit of mystery shopping and maybe put the word out to friends and neighbours that you can look after their animals/houses/gardens while they go on holiday, and you should have the basis of survival income while you get your writing going ......? Very chuffed for you!

I think the rules used to be you could work LESS THAN 15 hours a week and still claim JSA as long as it didn't interupt your interviews, not sure if the money you receive would be reduced.

Something to check and see if that is still the policy.
