Oh I second BaldyBear on this one, you also want to add in the bits about understanding people empathising to be able to draw skills and experiences otherwise not apparent on the CV
Clearly writing skills and ability to get facts over clearly e.g. understanding then briefing others on the project.
Also think about making contacts, how good are you at this, e.g. improving business and ensuring success by continuity of support etc.
As always happy to proof read if it will help.Start info Dec11

Dont know if this helps but just some random thoughts of the top of my head

Three things - could you think of each person as a "brand". For example when say you were in previous job you were allocated lynx shower gel to promote, you had to find out what was your target market (young men) and do advertising to appeal (pulling lots of hot women!) So to turn this into this role, you have your product (unemployed candidate) and you need to promote them to potential employers so they can get job. How do you do that. Fund out background of your product, what works in selling them, skills they have, what potential employers are looking for, what appeals to them. Ok thats 2, how about a third being a sort of mentor, you said you worked well in teams, motivational skills etc so could you bring that to the job too??
Please feel free to ignore, not a clue really what I am talking about

Thank you both.
I hadn't thought of using my branding experience as a selling point, I shall start playing with that idea shortly [no work stint today]
Funnily enough a customer said to me yesterday how good I was with people and I heard her continue to sing my praises to her friend on their way out of the shop

Today's duties and yesterday's news.
I must start drafting this cover letter. I'm not going to send it off today though, there's a fair bit of time until the closing date and I'd like to get it right. I might post the draft up here and see what you think.
I'll carry on trawling the job boards, see what's out there, not a lot in my field, to be honest. But there again, I don't really want to go back if there's something else I can do instead.
Tomorrow is job centre day, so I need to make sure my application list is up-to-date and printed off, fairly sure it is as I have to send a copy to the mortgage insurance people and I did that on 26th.
Colin is eating the basil again [new plant, same cat] I'm sitting watching him! Must write you all an update on him, he is creating destruction and mayhem all round the house
The two items on eb*y both have bids, one stands at £29 and the other at £15 and still have 4 days to go :T I have another item to post and several more to photograph. Another job for today.
If I get time and the weather stays dry I will continue to clear the garden. I need to decide what to do about the woodland garden, currently it is over-run with honeysuckle, elder and ivy. It also has a pile of the Captains poo rotting down [nice].
I want to see if I can over-winter some of the geraniums I was sent. I'll research that too. I will need to buy some potting compost for that, but if they survive it will be worth it.
...and I need fuel  nearing empty again...
And of course, there's the Captain! I'll go and see him at around lunchtime, not sure if I'll ride or play with him. It'll be a surprise for us both!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I put £40 in my car on Friday and only managed to half fill the tank. Having OH drive to hotel and around has left me with slightly more than just above the red line already. Scary, won't be driving around much this month.
Enjoy your day xTargets

Are you sure Colin isn't Italian? He seems very fond of basil

Now Colin cat is clearly trying to tell you something, perhaps he is missing catnip... Quick google seems to say this is the same family if in doubt check the RSPCA web site.
Fuel is scaring me ATM filled up after using my car for the weekend jaunt and now had to fill up again. If I run out I will be taking DH car (and hoping like hell is doesn't breakdown on me) as he has fuel.
Hope the job hunting and garden clearing go well, want to come and attack mine when you're done?
Raining here and I am starving today for some reason, with limited food and determined not to spend so may hae grumbling tummy later.Start info Dec11

He's no Italian Stallion I'm afraid :rotfl: He'd prefer to be under the bed rather than in it...Now Colin cat is clearly trying to tell you something, perhaps he is missing catnip... Quick google seems to say this is the same family if in doubt check the RSPCA web site.

That might explain the love of basil. I will plant him some catnip in the garden. I think it's real name is Nepeta. I'll see if I track some down for him.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
