  • 45/50 :) (car) Some pretty obvious, some educated guesses, some stabs in the dark!

p.s. does anyone still use hand signals? Would other drivers know what they were doing, or just report them to the looney bin?! ;)

I did my theory test back in 2001 where i got 32/35. On this test i got 50/50 :D

same here, though am i right in thinking the turn left hand signal used to be left arm out through the car?
got it right, only because I know the others weren't
  • Just passed the test got 44 of of 50 :j

I got the hand signals right but guessed.
I have never used one hand signal in my life why are they still on?

I had a good laugh at some of the wrong answers ie reving at a pedestian crossing

47/50 Not too bad considering it's 20+ years since I took my test. And one of those wasn't reading the question properly :D

  • I got 50 on the car test, but 4 or 5 were commonsense guesses, as some of the questions were not covered in the Highway Code 40+ years ago when I last read preparing for my test.

I found it pretty easy - 47 out of 50. I've never studied for the theory test & don't drive.

I really can't see how the following question has anything to do with driving. So long as you understand the definitions of the words, the answer must be obvious to anyone:
What style of driving causes increased risk to everyone?

46; my mistakes have been to do with two questions on speed lmt for towing vehicles, one on hazard light and a fourth was just a careless mistake on not getting out of the vehicle and checking when reversing. Questions seem to focus more on defensive driving than anything else. I didn't think they asked a lot about road signs - I'm good on that one. When I travel abroad I do a crash learning on their road signs and signals as well. Apparently Japan has signs that we could identify simply by the shape of their boards, outlines and colors.

I'll take it tonight when I finish work.
    Pretty Sure i'll fail, though.
I've failed the practical driving test loads of times and gave up on the idea of ever passing a few years ago at the age of 26 :(
    Passed the theory though, lol.

I'll let you know later how I get on with this test.

A lot of it is common sense though. I don't drive, but tried the car one - and got 43 out of 50 - so just about passed!

To many stupid questions that don't have anything to do with driving for example first aid and environmental.
The hazard perception test is fairly suspect too.
