my kids are limited to 8, and only 2 hours for a party, or i lose my sanity. but some parents go mad. 8yr old went to one where whole class had gone and it was to the cinema, then mcD, must have cost a fortune.

Keep it simple - the kids are happier with that. It's the parents who feel they have to compete over the parties and show off what they do for their little darlings.

have you tried this one in the slo cooker 160?  I notice you mentioned it in the thread about sausage casserole and remembered you'd said it before.

In reply to Dirk Gently, and please don't anybody take offence:

My personal circumstances require that I live without an income except Incapacity Benefit. Whilst money does not equal happiness, being poor ( and I consider myself poor) can exacerbate depression, symptoms of which may include comfort eating, retail therapy, etcetera.

I have found this site, and this board particularly, incredibly helpful in many ways:

Everyone has their problems/issues/obstacles to overcome, and mine aren't the most important/biggest/worst.

I CAN live within my means

I DO NOT have to conform to society's consumerism pressure

I CAN contribute to society in a worthy manner.

Live is for living, so enjoy what you have, and don't worry about the rest.

You regulars will know what I'm trying to get at; believe me, it's important.

(p.s. fella going for fortnight's respite, taking PC with, so I'll be incommunicado unless I can get the Library PC to help)

    Love Y'all

    She put it really well.

Good luck on the library computer and we are all thinking of you. :):)
