Hi everyone
Sorry I've been a bit absent the last couple of days - I've been signed off work for the 2nd week now and I've not been having the best week ever.
Yesterday the day did not start well when I slipped while trying to pick up my just-cooked porridge, and spilt it all over my hand. It really hurt but I ran it under cold water for ages and though it hurt yesterday, it seems fine today.
Anyway, it went downhill from there and so I left the house at midday, went shopping, and basically spent a TON of money. The only justification is that it was always one of my comfort things, like eating (which I also did a lot of yesterday, oh and smoking too!). Also, I didn't actually buy carp, I did technically have the budgets there, just not till next month.
Okay, actually I've spent £30 of next months money, but it's ok because I have the outfit I'm wearing to the wedding in SA! Finally! It's just a maxi-dress I got in Mr T and it was £10 in the Sale. (Actually, pretty much everything I bought yesterday was sale items). Also got another maxi-dress for SA, which is too big but sooo perfect I bought it anyway as was £9 in the Sale and it'll be fine for knocking around in. Also 2 tops.
Then a mini splurge in Mr T Home on some FANTASTIC crafty bits - little card shapes in all different colours and styles that you can stick on what you want - not sure why, but they were all 19p! And got some baby ones too as 2 baby showers coming up, which were all 50p. I seriously must remember to check out Mr T in future for crafty bits, I was pleasantly surprised!
Then H0bbyCr*ft and spent just over £20. However, all sale stuff and got some GORGEOUS ribbon spools all reduced so they'll be good throughout the year and some for Christmas.
I'm so far in the red for this challenge it's insane, but I'm not going to lie, it felt sooo good shopping. Plus, technically it was all stuff I was going to buy (maybe not specifically but YKWIM!) so I haven't got piles of carp surrounding me, and I'm still fine for the rest of the month money wise anyway. Skint, but have plenty to see me through, just.
Anyway, hope you're all having a great week, I plan to veg today and venture nowhere near any shops! To that end I shan't put make up on - no WAY would I go out without make up! :rotfl:
Take care all

LC - I've had the same today. Bit of a spendy day, but all things I would have needed sooner or later anyway, £25 in h0bbycraft buying stuff to make my table centrepieces for the wedding, £20 on reduced clothes in Asd@ (out of my clothes budget), plus new shoes for the kids.
I did also spend £20 on lunch but that was worth every penny catching up with my friend.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -

Hi all, spent £10.50 on cinema tickets, more than I wanted as the kids club kept selling out so had to buy in advance and pay booking fee.
So hopefully that'll be it for me as we don't tend to spend at the weekend. Hope you all have a thrifty but fun weekend.:)Make £2020 in 2020 £178.81/£2020

Thanks fo the kind words everyone
Feeling much happier today. I actually got off my @*53 and cleaned out my car, which is always a lovely feeling!
I haven't spent anything so far today, but will be buying rollie stuff later to try and stop me keep spending random 3 quids here and there on 10 cigs.
Just popping down to see a friend in a bit (the one getting married in SA), only for half an hour or so, but hopefully will combine with a trip to see my other friend who lives down there.
Tomorrow is going to be so spendy I feel quite uncomfortable!!! It's our "hen day" for the bride-to-be, and me and my friend organised it. It's a spa day with lunch, glass of wine, and a treatment included, at a 4* hotel which looks lovely, and we get to stay there all day. Got it for £45 each by finding a good deal online. :T
Then we are splitting the btb costs between us so that's £52.50 straight away
Then in the evening we are going to a really posh Indian restaurant. To try and save money I'm driving all day, so I can't drink. Annoyingly I have the option of staying at my friends house, but I just don't want to spend this much money in a day! It's going to end up the best part of £100 when you factor in all the petrol I'll b using (as I'm about 16miles away from where they all live in the first place!) Still, don't get me wrong, should be a lovely day (although I hate anything remotely spa related. Luckily I'm going to have a pedicure for my treatment, as I'm DESPERATE, my feet are GROSS!!! :rotfl: )
Okay, breathe.
Anyway, don't forget to declare your spends, and in all likelihood I won't be online tomorrow because I have to leave the housse by about half 8 and won't be home till very late. So I'll be online on Sunday to update and start next week's thread.
Enjoy your Friday/weekend everyone :j

I'm definitely in the red this week, by a long way. Can't remember exactly how much over but it's approaching £80 this week rather than the £50 I'd hoped.
Back to work next week, so please put me down for a target of £20.
I'll check my signature and get back to you...
It's a very red £76.98 for me this week.
No wonder I was so skint before I started budgeting.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -

LC have a great day tomorrow, that fact that your even contemplating it is a good sign and not inventing 101 excuses why you can't. Why don't you pack an overnight bag (remember to include any medication) then if you wish to stay over the option is open to you.
This week has been all NSD's :jfinally feel as if I am getting over the virus I had last weekend but I do still keep getting the occasional sore throat, OH said this happened to him for about 10 days after he felt better.
Tomorrow we are off to see the in laws, my idea, I need my head testing :rotfl:
Next week can you put me down for £5Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases
