MES Footwork -- unable to ship shoes

I also paid for six pairs of trainers in November using groupon voucher and paying the difference on my debit card. One of my children has received his two pairs but the other two have received nothing. I have emailed and phoned again and again and had no response. I have to say after this experience I would never use groupon again:mad:
Sorry to hear of your experience in this.
I'm interested to know whether the trainers from MES Footwork were well made and correct.
The reason I ask is that there are reports around that the quality of MES Footwork's trainers is not very good.

I am very glad i'm not the only one then having problems! I ordered mine first week november and still to this day have no shoes that i ordered. I actually managed to speak to someone on the 15th Feb, but that has been the one and only time of doing so. He assured me they were going to get dispatched on the 16th Feb and would give me a tracking number.....has he hell, i have emailed after then and also gave my mbile number for them to contact me and no reply. Its outrageous that they can still be promoting themselves, and that they havent been closed down and no law suit has gone against them. If i werent living in norfolk i would be taking my backside upto their HQ and collecting my shoes (if they exist).....
I'm impressed you got to speak to someone on the phone so recently!
I'm not surprised to hear that MES Footwork fobbed you off with lies. This has been my experience all the way through.

MES Footwork were also featured on BBCs "Something for the Weekend".
There are ways of handling these kind of situations. MES Footwork have chosen one way - distancing yourself from your customers and when they do get through to you, simply lie to them knowing they're unlikely to get through again - there are better ways.

They still haven't arrived. Their phone isn't answered, nor are emails. GroupOn customer support are next to useless.
There appears to be more people complaining about this on various sites and complaining about poor quality workmanship.
My advice - stay clear.
Best,
Sue
can you claim back from card co, as goods not delivered? also report to trading standards..
I have yet to hear ANYTHING good, about groupon..Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -

I am getting my money back from through the bank.
I spoke to trading standards in South Shields who suggested I'd be better off talking to Consumer Direct.I have yet to hear ANYTHING good, about groupon..
I had a nice deal through GroupOn ... it was a deal with a local fishmonger - £15 for £30 worth of fish. Worked out well.

Just as an example of how a good company works - contrast this with MES Footwork's terrible customer service - I order an item online from a retailer a couple of weeks ago. The item was extremely popular and the offer over-subscribed. When I placed the order I was given a delivery date of mid-April. This was disappointing as I'd hoped to have the item sooner, but ok as they were at least keeping me informed.
Yesterday I received another email advising that the expected delivery date was now early May. Again, this is not ideal, but because they are keeping me informed I'm being patient and will wait for the goods to arrive.
If MES Footwork had kept me informed I'd probably not have cancelled my order.

This bad experience won't stop me using Groupon - I've had great deals on glasses and numerous photo processing options (books and canvases - in the latter case I then placed full price orders with the company so they got new business through the promotion and will get more from me).
On this one occasion when it hasn't gone to plan, Groupon have refunded my voucher. I've no problem with them.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0 -
Groupon gave MES 10 days to get the goods to me or contact me. They did neither so they have now passed it to the management team.
Just spoke to the credit card company who are sorting out their side of it. Pointed out to the CC company that I can't even get hold of them to cancel my order!0 -
Hi Richie,
how is it going? Did GroupOn's management team get anything done?

Hi, How are people getting there money back etc. Groupon arent being too helpful and Citizens advice keep saying write a letter to them and send it recorded. I have received one pair of 2 trainers i ordered back in October. I wrote an email to Mes saying that the trainers were in an unsatisfactory condition and that i would like to send them back and cancel my order. I never heard anything back and now i have no idea if my 2nd pair will be produced or not......0
