Snail in my frozen peas
Comments
-
The other day I was eating my porridge when I crunched down on something hard. It turned out to be some kind of tiny mollusc. I threw it away (and the rest of my porridge) and got on with my day. I didn't suffer any kind of trauma requiring me to pursue a ridiculous claim for 'compo'. What a mentality we have in this country these days.
THIS.
For gods sake, its a snail - not a hyperdermic needle dripping with blood. Im guessing the OP is one of these `whiplash' claimers that the goverment are trying to stop also. If this is a major issue for the OP then they need a reality check.
Stop complaining, eat your snail or straight to bed with no supper.0 -

Because it came with a five bedroom rent free house, leather jacket and mobile phone0 -
Tomato manufacturer has been in contact and asked what I want - to be honest I have no idea! What I do know is I never want another can of chopped tomoatoes or anything else that has tomatoes in it.
The likelihood of ever getting another half rat in your tomatoes is probably less than winning the lottery, so I'd ask for a case of tomatoes. I'm sure it wasn't pleasant to find, but it's hardly traumatising really is it? It's not like you had it on your plate or anything I]here I would insert the 'rollseyes' smilie if it was still available[/I Sometimes I think the national backbone has been surgically removed from the country. I found a dead fly in my leek earlier. I threw it in the bin, washed the leek and cooked it as usual.
I'm really hoping that was enough to kill off any germs.0 -

not sure I would recommend this approach if you find half a rat! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
we had a snail in our peas or stir fry the other week
never even considered looking for compo though its the price you pay for quick frozen machine wrapped produce
we caught a mouse in the rat trap at work but by the time we got to it next day a rat had eaten its back half ,maybe this was then eaten by a tin of chopped tomatoes?0 -
What do you think is reasonable?
£20 seems more than enough... unless you accidentally ate the front half of the rodent before noticing...Thinking critically since 1996....0 -
I recently found a small snail in a bag of frozen peas.
I contacted customer services by phone and they were very sympathetic and asked for all the info I could supply about the bag of peas in question.
They then credited me £10 for my inconvenience.
Is this a reasonable about of compensation or should I pursue it further?
You're really lucky! You usually only get snails accompanying French Beans.
I'll get my coat.....If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
