Hi Yall, damp and dull here in the emids (the weathers a bit grot too;) ) Just a quick post while I 'supervise' mini MATHLETT in the shower.
Nothing too much planned for today as we blitzed the place yesterday. Washing is on and the DW is chugging through the second load.
I'll do my paid2clicks once dressed and when Miss MATHLETT gets up (about 11am) we shall head for Tesco to do the 'big shop'
It's POETS day for Mrs MATH too:D
Moggins - hope you start to feel better soon (hugs)
N9eav - hope OH gets the news she wants
Hester - nice to see you back

Morning All
Glad you held onto the house Hester, and ((Hugs)) to anybody who needs them (although I doubt you want them from my disease ridden body).
Still feeling like s**t but like Moggins live goes on, just dosed myself up. Not going anywhere today with DD cant stand the prospect of another tantrum already had a minor one this morning over toast! Anyway plan for the day is to get all the washing upto date (dont tell anyone but I'm going to use the tumbledryer). I'm also going to have a toy sorting session and put togerther the small table and chair set I bought in Ikea yesterday so I'll be able to banish the highchair to the "Hopefully to be used again pile" in the back of the garage.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Morning everyone,
I've been a bit lax in posting recently (not much of interest to say), but still manage to pop in most days to see how you're all doing.
I am planning to do some house cleaning and cooking this weekend - my house was mostly clean and tidy last weekend for visitors but there's only two of us (just now) and it looks so unclean and unloved again - how does that happen? I also might nip into town on Sunday and start to have a look round some department stores and price baby things (to then look on eBay and see what I can source as bargains!)
My pregnancy still seems to be going well - starting to feel the odd wee movement, but still unsure if that's exactly what it is and not just uncomfort because my trousers are too tight or wind
! We have booked our private 20 week scan for 8th March (just under 3 weeks away) - we don't get an NHS one here - and I am so excited at the thought of seeing the baby again.
I must dash now as I've got to go to the World's Most Boring MeetingTM until 2pm - but lunch is provided - whoopee!
kyle - so delighted that you have managed to take the first steps in getting some help. I was really touched by your story. Please keep us updated with how you are. Also, if there's a Scotland meet, please let me know (but not keen on the cameras and posting photos on the board!)
Peem - how young are your kids? Is there any chance you could just take a couple of years out and worry about University and pension etc in a couple of years? I understand that they are valid concerns, but you must feel really trapped? Could you become a SAHM and start an eBay/home working business where all profits went into a special savings account for these things?
skystar - I hope today's meeting goes well for you.
Love
Valentine xxx

I'm gonna be on my best behaviour today:o I've got the three MATHLETTS with me, they don't need to see their Daddy being escorted from the store by the elbow:rotfl:Life's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0 -
Morning :hello:
I had a fab time last night at the comedy show but ended up spending sooooo much money
- after having got the tickets ridiculously cheap (£6.25 each!) I spent £6 on beer, bought 2 DVDs at £10 each and then we went out for a curry which cost £15 each  (great curry though!) Luckily I have underspent on everything else again this week so hopefully about half the expense can be soaked up by my normal weekly budget and I'll only have to take £20 out of my "extras" money (which I try not to spend so I can end up either spending it on a holiday or putting it in long term savings).
Today is indeed POETS day :j :j and I don't have any plans for this evening (hurrah!) - well actually I do - it involves going round my flat with a large black bin bag and de-junking it. I want to do a proper deep clean over the weekend - my mum is seeing the place for the first time next weekend  and I want the place to look like a show home
She WON'T be expecting it to, and she isn't the type to criticise (her own philosophy on housework is probably even more lax than mine!) but I just want to surprise her
((((hugs)))) to Moggins, but CONGRATULATIONS on your 5000th post! Your post reminded me of this old joke:
P.S. Nelski, I did a search on the net for the above joke, and found it on the Mumszone forum, posted by somebody whose avatar is your avatar's twin only with turquoise eyes and pink hair :eek:A man came home from work and found his three children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around the front yard. The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and there was no sign of the dog.
Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall. In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door.
He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened. He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door.As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls.
As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel. She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went. He looked at her bewildered and asked, "What happened here today?"
She again smiled and answered, "You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world I do all day?"
"Yes," was his incredulous reply.
She answered, "Well, today I didn't do it."
Lunch = butternut squash soup, dinner = chilli con carne.
See you later
Love Rzl xx
P.S. Welcome back Hardup Hester, was wondering what had become of you and your "phone work"
