OS daily thread Friday 16th Feb 2007

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Friday 16th 2007 This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning everyone. Today will be POETS days of course... Push off early tomorrow is saturday!!
I have the long long weekend off and don't return until Wed afternoon.
I missed yesterday due to sorting out my e-bay successes from the day before and then being late for work.
Work today and then out to a friend for an evening meal and a few glasses of plonk. Can't wait. If the OH hears the results of her job interview and it's positive, it will be several glasses of plonk... Fingers crossed.

Have a nice one

    Good morning all!

Just a quickie from me, hope today finds everyone either well or getting better. ((((((((hugs)))))) to those who need them.

I'm just off to the gym for an hour or so of torture, then back for a quick tidy-up before DGS arrives. It's half-term so I get a nanny day hurray!! I have missed him since he started nursery school. Normal visits just don't compare with a day just the two of us.

    Well time I wasn't here.

    Take care,
    CMxxxx

    Morning all :D
Wow, CM I am so impressed - still going to the gym at the crack of dawn....
I hope you have a lovely day with your DG.

My thoughts are still permanently filled with thoughts of this bloomin chocolate cake, and in putting off making it I've eaten quite a bit of chocloate - so I'm giving in and baking it today. If I didn't know better I'd be buying a pregnancy test kit..... first longing to make welsh cakes, and now this chocolate cake.
As for the rest of the day..... I really should try to get on top of my homework (so I'll probably end up on here instead, lol)

Best wishes to everyone and extra hugs to those going through a challenging time.
    Love,
    Kaz x

  • Morning earlybirds! today is my 'day off' and I can't sleep!!

I also have a hair appointment this morning, will be glad to get this mop out of my eyes. Am waiting for results of a blood test on my poor little cat :( and depending on what they are, might have to battle my way over to the vet's again this afternoon, not a nice prospect, I still have the scars from Tuesday's outing.

Am going to treat myself to a couple of poached eggs for breakie and a spinach salad for lunch. Dinner will be leftover moussaka from Weds evening, made loads expecting DH to snarf it all but he didn't, so more for me :)

If I don't have to go to the vet's later,am hoping to fit in a quick visit to the garden centre to suss out some veggie seeds and maybe a seed tray or two...

Have a good day, all, hope everyone's feeling fit and happy this morning...
    FF xx
  • morning all,

well although OH was meant to be getting up with DS this morning and I was getting the lie in, he was snoring away at 6 when DS woke up and was not going to budge, so here I am. Never mind, I get a head start on the day, and OH will owe me big time later:D
There is soup in the SC that I did last night, the washing is sorted and today I plan to spend some time on the allotment.
    Have a nice Friday everyone

  • Morning All

Up early this morning, first time this week and its lovely and peaceful here, DS will be up soon but DD will probably stay in her pit for another 2 hours.

Need to make DS some packed lunch as he is off for a day of football training. Then DD and I are meeting her 2 friends and their mums at Bowling - they are booked in for 3 games whilst we will be in the coffee shop for a catch up. Think will probably have lunch there too.

Afterthat will be doing some more paperwork and maybe some ironing though might leave that till Saturday.

Just about to get some pork out of the freezer (forgot last night) which I will marinade & make into pork kebabs with onion rice tonight.

    Thats about if for now.
    Have a great day.
